Try a simple figure-8 sideways with a dot (about two pixels larger in diameter than the thickness of the string if using digital means), then two strings hanging downward off the dot for an easy-to-undo knot.
And as for the character, she looks like a definite movie-star type, maybe she's waiting for her close-up?
