Long ago, shortly after the Exodus War, the Grand Syka (most powerful Asteran Mage) Kaiban, was helping to rebuild the draconic society in Vmufan Nayms. During his lifetime, he had many acomplishments. He developed the crystaline armor used in the defense of the last Asteran stronghold in Earth's ream. He also developed the technology behind the weapons used during that time. But none of his achievements were as grand as her. Ira (Eer*ah), the crystal dragoness. Some say Kaiben created her as a way to replace the loss of his mate during the Exodus war, others say she was created to further Asteran tech. For whatever the reason, the result is undeniable. Ira is considered a crystal golem. This in itself is no amazing feat, as most Sykas of 50 years can create one. It's what sets her apart that makes her so special. For centuries, crystal golems could only be maintained for a short period of time, the longest 'living' being 4 days old. And the Sykas that created them had to maintain a certain level of focus to keep thier energy bound to the golem. This also made the golems non-sentient. On top of this, golems were also unable to speak (save for making roar-like sounds). Ira, on the other hand, is not bound by any of these. Once Kaiben was able to bound the energy necessary for the golem to function, he no longer seemed to need to concentrate (which would become more apearant later on). Ira is also the first, and only, sentient golem, and was eventually granted status equal to that of any other Asteran citizen. She is also the only golem that is able to speak, and it is a joy to hear (for most). Because of her crystalline properties, her words are a bit drawn out, and sound harmonic. It is as though listening to a small orchestra of crystal wine glasses, but as coherent speech. On top of all of this, she not only broke the 4 day record of any previous golem, but she continues to live to this day. She even continued to live after Kaiben died, proving even more that he did not need to concentrate to keep her energy bound. In fact, she is roughly 200 years older than Slate.
