Transparency is usually not a problem but I used Mental Ray Sunlight which really makes things go out of wack color wise. *licks him* glad you liked though

heh it's not a program. It's a way of rendering in Maya. See you have all sorts of lighting styles from ambient, spotlight, volume (good for making things like lightbulb glow effects), directional (a full region light that goes from one side to the other like the sun), and Area (still have no clue what it does.)

Mental Ray is a very high-detailed way of rendering. You have Software which is good for medium computers and uses the program and your RAM to render, you have Hardware which is primarily used for particles like sparks and lightning, and than you have Mental Ray which is the highest detail and takes the longest per frame to render.

Mental Ray has an option to actually create a simulated sky and sun which really makes a scene look bloody beautiful. I will post up some examples to show you :D

At first I thought it was all gonna be 3D looking, that would have been pure awesome!! XD but this is good to... I like how the towel, juice glass, table, glasses and wings came out though in the 3d model. I like it though.

*ears fall* aww I am sorry hun. I have zero experience with character modeling; usually I do 3D "carvings" of characters but I wanted to try something else for you

I think what you've done with the 3D work is awsomness, the textures are great and i love how you've got the comparason between the two pictures up there :D
