I usually like to play as either a mage or battlemage and learn stun spells to stop enemies, or silence spells to block off their access to their magic in RPGs. Or you can drain their MP if such spells don't exist in said game. Maybe your dog character should respec from a warrior to a battlemage. Or recruit one into his party. I'm always up for an adventure as my human sorcerer of light or my wolfdog paladin!
