It's all a part of her backstory. During a mission at Stonehedge several years ago, Lady Liberty was possessed by two ancient magical spirits, Morgana (a tiger) and Lady Creole (a lioness). When they entered her equine body, they altered her DNA, giving her the tiger stripes on her body and other slight changes to her form. This is why she has the look she has.

that explains a lot. I always wondered that if she is a hybrid. doesn't that make keeping her identity secret near impossible? How many horse/tiger hybrids are there?

As bout as many as my personal hybrid. a Pork Lion. how did I come to be thus? Started out as a Lion, and my RL family asked me to take up the hobby of amateur radio. well, the people who provide this emergency service are called HAMS. that, and walking down a meat department aisle at a grocery store, I noted some nit could not spell the name of a pork product correctly with his lablemaker. It really DID say Pork Lions. so I took the idea and ran with it.

Not as earth shattering as Lady Liberty's story, but it's mine, and I'm stickin' to it.

And as I said before. You be amazed at how many people there could be. There doesn't have to be many. It's how she talks and carries herself.

It was never intended to imply rape was going to occur. The Grey Brothers are pawns in this scenario and they are fairly innocent as villains go as they limit themselves to theft mostly. They enjoy frustrating supers it seems.

Their mission was to capture Lady Liberty. The best was was to first take away her sword, then her utility belt which is full of weapons and then knock her out. Rape is a very evil and horrible thing despite how lightly it is often portrayed here by some artists and I won't draw it. I could even see the Grey Brothers rescuing Lady Liberty if they discovered that was what their boss had in mind. Still, these are not my characters but I could see that as being an interesting twist.

the phrase "rape is about to occur" is a standard reaction image-type reply to "uh oh" type situations described or shown on most *chans.

i meant nothing negative about it - i merely said it in jest in the spirit of "uh oh, lady liberty is in trouble!"

No prob. You just have to remember that unfortunately "Rape" is a fairly common subject matter for pictures here. I wish it was not. The act is despicable and is maybe used too familiarly.
