Among other things, I am also in a folk group called Providence. It consists of three people, including myself.
In the last two months, we decided to put out a CD, and since we did not have ready access to a recording studio, I offered to record us in my home.
This recording is in a bluegrass style. The banjo is computer generated. All other instruments and vocals are real, recorded one at a time, and mixed together. The mandolin is actually a six string guitar with a high capo.
I had a lot of fun making this, and you are the first to hear the results.
Enjoy.

Nice! Very well produced, you guys don't need a recording studio. Obviously you know what you're doing.
I'm not huge on other kinds of country-type music, but bluegrass has always held a certain charm for me, and this is kind of why. You can tell the musicians had fun with it, even if you hadn't said it. This was probably just as much fun to listen to.

That's perty darn good! I'm a banjo picker--old time and bluegrass, three finger and clawhammer. I noticed that you had the banjo set to a constant in-and-out (alternating) thumb roll even when the chords changed (I'm just pointing that out because I'm a nerd hehe). Bluegrass is one of those transcending music genres that incorporates a lot of other styles. A lot of highly educated and cosmopolitan people from all around the world play bluegrass, even if they don't have a country accent. :3 I know this was posted two years ago, but have y'all ever done any more bluegrass? Would love to hear some more.
