A sketch for

Thanks man! I always enjoy doing these scrawny drained dudes for ya!
Bit slow on the uploads today! Still working on a few. :)
What was that word you used for the muscle drain process? I'll add it to the search terms. :)

Ah, thanks! I actually have an pretty heavy emaciation fetish myself -- I used to struggle from some pretty serious eating disorders and whether or not those two are paired, I end up quite adoring bone-shaped things. Luckily all better now, more or less (The body dysmorphia is still strong and somewhat ever-present, unfortunately), but much healthier these days.
On that note, though, my style is generally QUITE skinny, and usually I aim for more of a sexy look in it -- however, these guys for
author have actually had all their muscle drained away by magic, so they're meant to look a little more dishevelled and maybe a bit saggy as they were decent-sized dudes to start with; not so 'sexy bones' if you know what I mean! It's a bit harder to portray in a quick sketch but these guys generally look pretty rough!
Cool to know you dig it, though. My own Seph is kind of a bone rack. XD

You're welcome ^++^ For some reason I seemed to visualize you as a thin fellow, if not emaciated, I think in large part due to your art design. I have tried to cut back on my eating these past few days due to my aspiration to work from home despite its lower pay, and I have thus far done it successfully with one night where I binged on undercooked spaghetti as I had a starch craving x3 I regretted it in the morning though, and though I am having more cravings tonight
I think I will try to soldier on with my new to me ~1500 calorie regimen, down from ~3000 or so. I hope I will also require less AC when summer sets in if I can lose some weight. Interestingly, I cleaned and organized my apartment a good deal where I had no energy or drive to do so previously, so maybe it has something to do with semi-fasting and blood-glucose or something.
And I'm happy you overcame your eating disorder, you seem like such a kind and caring person and it pains me to see someone harming themselves in such a way, though from what I understand it's a complicated issue.
And thank you for the reference, awesome!
And yuh, I'm gonna go check your OC out again, I think that's where I got the first impression about your actual body type ^++^

Haha, one day I'll actually draw a proper Sephren reference; been so long since I've tried. Going through a bit of a redesign right now anyways. :)
As someone who's been there pretty hard, I honestly don't reccommend just trying to cut calories; as you mention it *does* often lead to binging to make up for the crazy your brain is going through and the lack you can feel, which often just makes it worse. Switching to healthier eating (without crazy 'rules' like 'no cookies ever' or something), filling up on 'filler' stuff that satisfies like potatoes, oatmeal with tasty stuff in it (and cinnamon!) -- that shit fills you up for HOURS and the cinnamon regulates blood sugar spikes to keep you feeling full longer and not getting as hungry at the end of it) and lean meats (eggs, chicken, fish if you like it) ((and, of course, veggies, but I find they're great for giving you nutrients and feeling good, but to try and get by on veggies without some carbs (potatoes, oatmeal, or healthy fats (meat, avocadoes, smoked salmon, etc) just doesn't give me enough energy -- I need a lot of fuel to burn as I'm pretty active anyways.
That, and getting out and being more active/building muscle, and keeping busy with shit so you're not sitting around snacking or eating at odd hours or whatever -- those are things that really can work. Trying to cut things out to the point of craving other things actually makes it suck really hard and generally LEADS to disordered eating, if not outright actual eating disorders if you're more prone to that kind of behavior. :)
I definitely don't mean to sound like I'm trying to push advice or anything, just that I've spent a LOT of my life battling food, dealing with nutrition, and I know what tends to work for a lot of people based on all that I've seen with other people, and what I've experienced as well.
Guess it goes without saying, but pop/soda/energy drinks and even juice are the WORST!
Milk's good for weight loss (because of the protien and the fact that it stops you from actually absorbing nutrients in your intestines), but shitty for your bones, believe it or not -- the only reason I mention this is because I mentioned drinks; honestly all I drink these days is water, maybe some OJ once in a while and maybe tea -- plus probably way too much coffee, which is probably my only source of shitty sugars right now; actually thinking of cutting back as it's really not good for my skin, all that sugar. (We just use hot chocolate mix; it's like the only thing I have regularly that's not really that great for us.)
I dunno; like any goal that I'm working on, I try to just make every day a small success, and it adds up. Like, if I want a donut or something, that's totally fine, but I'm not going to go shopping hungry, and I'm gonna make sure I don't just buy a bunch of crap to have in the house because then you're just setting yourself up to eat it. :)
Eating healthy is actually cheaper, too -- oatmeal, potatoes, eggs, sweet potatoes; all that stuff is generally so cheap compared to like, a frozen pizza. And honestly, the more you start to eat healthy (once you *slowly* wean off all the sugar and crap), the less you actually crave junk. Weaning quickly off sugar and processed foods SUCKS, though! Gotta take it slow if you eat a lot of that. :)
Anyways! I get carried away; food, nutrition and disordered eating is one of just a few things I tend to ramble on about. XD
If you aren't tired of my wild food rant and you ever actually want to talk nutrition, hit me up anytime; I promise I won't go off so hard. I did just drink an entire cup of coffee so I might be a bit over-wordy currently. :)

That sounds good, you're quite busy it appears but that would be nice ^++^
And oh, wow you certainly seem to know your foods and nutrition, I'm impressed though please forgive me if I don't reply to this one as thoroughly, I can't add much except to say I was eating out almost all the time with my previous job, due to the stress, and I was burning up any extra money I was making doing that, and I fear I was eating myself into an early grave.
I concur, from what I understand the simpler and cleaner the food the better, but I need my carbs too. However, I like meat and any rich food too much, it's from being kind of spoiled as a kid I guess, I got to eat whatever I wanted to it's been hard to give up the KFC buffets or the double quarter pounders or the banana splits, but it will help me physically and I hope mentally to clean up my diet.
I didn't know that about milk, though I had heard somewhere that it's not as good for bones as one might think, and green leafy vegetables are better?
I like coffee too, I might make a cup as I need to make about 17 more dollars before the end of tonight on my transcription to call it good, and I keep getting distracted on fa haha xD
I should eat more sweet potatoes, my mom always recommended those, but I go for the baked Idaho russet potatoes with butter and salt and pepper. I was even looking up a recipe for a blooming onion like they serve at Outback Steakhouse, and I am tempted to restart my coca cola habit. I was fortunate to have a good set of teeth and I don't want to rot them out but sweet cola xD
It's okay, I might note you later after I have my tasks done for tonight, but first, to make some coffee! And drink some water hehe.
I have been eating junky food still, but less of it- I had pizza rolls today, and some warmed up white flour tortillas with cheddar cheese and I had half a chocolate bar with my morning coffee and a glass of orange juice, but I wanna binge so bad tonight.

Yea man, that's it right? I still eat KFC (although jeez, it wasn't nearly as good as A&W Chubby Chicken last time I tried it.. needed some salt!) once in a while; still get kind of bingey sometimes depending on hormones and all that. It's just learning to cope with it, to accept that it's not something you really have to feel guilty about, just to overall kind of make better choices.
" I was eating out almost all the time" -- Lucky girlfriend!
Yea man, my mom cooked something awesome almost every night when I was young -- when we go visit, I can't help but eat like 6 servings. XD I mean, we cook too, but it's so much nicer when you don't have to do the work! XD
Aw, dude, I met a guy at an early furcon who actually had like, shards of teeth because of how much coke he drank.. not cool! I'm lucky enough personally to be entirely disgusted by pop in general, especially pepsi and coke -- I once had someone give me a shot of whisky for the first time, and it was pretty nasty, so they told me to follow it up with coke, and after the coke I almost gagged and had to follow it with more whisky to get the taste of coke out of my mouth. XD I literally would turn down $100 if somebody wanted me to drink a whole one. Not sure I have a price, but I guess if it was something upwards of $1000 I'd consider it.. I'd rather eat a dog treat or something nasty than drink an entire can of pop. :) Lucky I guess!
Oh, you know what -- I was looking into milk a bit more heavily, since the last time I did was a few years ago based on the actual scientific studies I could find, but looking now it seems that there's a mixed bag with regards to osteoperosis. Most of the studies that don't seem to be directly sponsored by milk companies or someone with a vested interest in dairy sales seem to, at best, suggest that milk doesn't have any better effect than eating green leafy veggies (and of course, load-bearing exercise, like running or jogging or something else that puts pressure on the bones, making them stronger as your body compensates for their use), and although I can't find a lot of concrete evidence suggesting it actually *causes* osteoperosis, there are studies suggesting that the countries with the highest dairy consumption also have the highest incidence of osteoperosis, but that might not be directly related. (Correlation doesn't necessarily equal causation, if you've heard the term). But, multiple studies do suggest a higher risk of certain cancers with dairy consumption, especially reproductive ones (most likely caused by the hormones in milk, as suggested by the science.)
Regardless, I don't drink it anymore these past few years, and we actually save a lot of money not buying something we really don't need. :)
Still rambling! But yea, note me anytime; I'll be on and off all night trying to actually finish some work -- been spaced out all day for some reason.

*giggles and nods* Yeah it's good, well as close to home-cooking as I can muster xD And oh I've never tried Chubby Chicken from A&W, though we now have an A&W here in my home city ^++^
And yeah, as long as it's not breaking the bank or the body it's okay x3
Oh my gosh I wish hehehe, now we both are having gutter minds, but yuh, that is a dish I'd be curious to try someday *blushes and giggles*
And oh yes, I guess good moms spoil us kids with food among other things, mom food is my best memory, though sadly before I lost my mom, I didn't always appreciate her cooking or was picky *shakes my head*
And oh crap! That's horrible! I inherited my mom's good teeth, so despite the abuse I subject them too when I drink soda, I still have all of them and only three minor cavities, and no new ones in about six years since I started flossing regularly. However, maybe my heavy fat and protein consumption has helped keep them mineralized, if the Weston Price study is credible, but there's the acid/alkaline theory thing too, and I read that meat and all the rich stuff is acid-producing, but what's your take on it?
Wow, I wish I had your disgust for soda, there is absolutely no nutritionally redeeming quality to it, but it tastes so good to me, and is comforting. However I can tell if I drink too much my mood and energy crashhhh.
And I see, that's quite interesting regarding the dairy, I seem to have read somewhere about the pro-carcinogenic effects of dairy as well, though I've gotten complacent more recently about food, I do believe a lot of the things considered food may be closer to poison x3
That's good, I hope to get there for the sake of money and health and, to make me feel a bit better about my carbon footprint and all that though I'm not much of an environmentalist right now, though I feel kind of bad about that, though it's a reason I quit my job, since I knew a lot of the newspapers and plastic were being thrown away. I sometimes think of if I could stand next to all the trash I've created in my lifetime, how big that would be!
No worries, coffee is on for me before I finish this last string of transcription! Then I might have a second wind and need to keep going for an all nighter!
And yeah me too, I think it's cause I went to bed hungry, or maybe because I am getting too much of a b vitamin or vitamins now. Good luck on finishing your work, talk to you in a little ^++^

Oh, also - learning to recognize when you're ACTUALLY hungry and not just when you have food in front of you and feel like eating it is a pretty big help! And not eating extra just because -- generally a lot of us just keep eating more helpings if it's available even when we don't actually need the calories for our activity levels. :)
