Faring from a very humid planet, Rhubanites have evolved from crustaceans to form a very technologically and philosophically advanced.
The expresiveness their faces lack is supplemented by their eloquent maxillipedes and their fluffy, hair-like gills, which fluff up and down (plus others) to show a myriad of expressions. These feathery gills assist others placed around and/or behind neck, and chest (on the sides of the ribcage), and are more prominent the older the specimen as an aid to their ailing body inputs.
