Crime. Corruption. Cults. These are the things that put the infamous city of Herreton on the map. Ever since Oz was a child he had been told stories of mysterious kidnappings in the most dangerous parts of the city, and so he quickly learned to keep an eye on his back and a knife in his fist.

On one particular winter night the raven let his guard down, however. As he wondered the broken streets he was lured into a vile trap by one of the cities most notorious cults—The Red Sect.

The bird was taken, kicking and screaming into an unknown location where he was told of his fate. Oz would be the deranged group's sacrificial offering to a great demon whom the cult revered as the saviour of Herreton, one to strip away the degeneracy and undesirables of their home.

The summoning proceeded as planned and the demon was pulled into the mortal world against his own will, an act that it would not take lightly. Furious at the transgressions of the kidnappers the demon infused the raven with otherworldly energies, granting Oz a measure of it's own power.

Otherworldly strength and rage overcame the raven, breaking the shackles that held him down with ease and slaughtering almost everyone in the chamber. Amidst the wild bloodshed however, the leader of the group managed to slip away out of the raven's grasp.

On that dark night a monster was born, and one not quite to The Sect's plans. Granted with the harrowing strength of a demon and an unnatural resiliency to pain, Oz knew what he must do. Armed with an unwieldy metal baseball bat and the chains that once bound him to his demise, the raven vowed to bring an end to The Red Sect and all those who stood for the destruction of innocent lives—no matter who got in his way.

Combat Abilities

Right Arm: The Helltown Slugger

Wielding the unnaturally heavy baseball bat chained permanently to his right arm forces Oz into an unreasonable and wild fighting style. Whether swinging with savage vertical strikes or sweeping sideways the steel bat is a devastating weapon, and should be avoided at all costs. Such a heavy tool does come at a cost however, leaving Oz vulnerable to counter-attacks should his opponent successfully dodge his aggressions.

Left arm: Talon

Having only one free arm leaves Oz with limited functionality, though not without some potentially lethal surprises. His great strength allows him some simple yet powerful strikes, often catching his enemies off guard should they expect a more lumbering attack. Demonic brawn combined with the natural gripping power of his talons the Raven is also able to easily grapple most enemies with but a single hand, sometimes with enough power to crush skulls.

Molotov Cocktails

A personal favourite of the Raven's, and one that compliments his other abilities to great effect. Oz typically employs his handy cocktails in one of two ways: Throwing them at a distance either directly at his enemies or around them, creating fire hazards and forcing them into unfavourable positions. In a pinch he also uses the alcohol and flames to fire-breathe at a shorter distance, often effectively countering short to medium ranged attacks with more speed than any of his other abilities.

Special Power: “Sudden Death”

If Oz takes fatal damage, he will enter an invincible state for 4 seconds and will be granted enhanced strength. If his opponent is slain during this period Oz will be considered the victor.

Oz's creed is one of bloodshed. To him, the dishonourable and the criminal deserve only as good as they give out. The cities most powerful political figures are steeped in corruption and are beyond saving, caring only for themselves and not for the poor and broken who have not turned to crime...yet.
