:New PvA: Pokemon Replacement batch 1
Behold! The first batch of creatures to be set in the project! And oh boy, it's already been a ride with these guys.
So, for anybody who's not in the know. Pokemon vs Aliens is being turned into it's own IP, which means the Pokemon have to be taken out. This is a glimpse to those that will be replacing them. Side note, there will be a release pack sometime soon with all the "Pokemon"related stuff so you can still enjoy what PvA I have made, including the next promised demo segment. (And the vore for you vore fans.)
About half of these guys still needs some work on their designs or names. Below is a quick description for a select few of these creatures. (Left to Right.)
First is Nickelie in his final design as a Velolupus.
Next is Lily in her design as a Velolupus. She is a little over weight for her species.
Black and white dog (Velolupus) is a modern domestic breed of the Velolupus.
Large white angel dragon - Nazo, An important character for the story. Only one of his species to look like this. Could say he's had some work done.
Alien horse looking thing. - Not actually an alien. Kind of serves as a horse replacement. Has two sets of hind legs for extra pull.
GroundBee - It's a bee with no wings, so it's even more pissed at the world.

Hosinight - The ghost that lives out of a mask. Don't look in his eyes... It's too calming.
Land Whale - Got rather proud of this one, started to think it could have been in Breath Of The Wild.
Tan and green cat thing = Airpine - was a old idea that got renewed with the new project. Was inspired by a v22 helicopter and a flying squirrel.
Rock back thing = ShieldKong - Can lower the stone on his back as a shield and battering ram.
Huge ass floating whale = Huge ass floating whale. They just float, and make the world look awesome.
Ghost balloons = Ghostilooms - Being that they have nothing else to do as sentient balloons; they just spend their lives contemplating existence.
Looks like a Arcanine knockoff = Not suppose to be an Arcanine knockoff - Need to keep redesigning. Might ditch the Arcanine look all together. Archie the Arcanine is staying an Arcanine after all.
The Noodle Wolf = The Shafin - A bit of history that I left behind with him but finding new light with the new project. Planning for some touch ups to his design.

I see that as well, but to me it makes the creatures more believable as all being from the same planet, and general species line. They all share similarities in the same ways real canines do without being totally similar, making them diverse, while also genuinely looking like they all come from the same planet.
That is a good way of saying my goal. It's also true that I'm looking to still get some odd shapes in the lineup. The hard part of the goal is to have a lineup of interesting designs that looked like they are some the same planet, yet made in such a way that there can be a good Exstory Dex made too.
Aww this kind of sucks (let me explain before you the crowd rips me apart) . By sucks i mean sucks that its no longer pokemon 😞:( was really wishing it stayed pokemon with the characters having unique appearances.

You're not the only one that is sad, I was too after all. The thought of making PvA into its own thing is an a idea that was with me for a few years now. Keep in mind that even though the Pokemon are gone, the core characters themselves are still here and will Remain relatively unchanged. Think of it as them getting a make over! :P
Well, I'm sure you will find some fun in the future of those roles being explored! :D Heck, wouldn't mind people drawing some of that already. There is no replace for Giratina yet. The changing of world's has that plot tread in the air currently. Might stay, might change, might go. Just have to see where it fits in the story.
I really like the new characters/designs and the fact this is a great way of showing us the scale of the different creatures compared to each other.
One thing that always irked me about Pokemon vore is that every other Pokemon can breath fire, shoot various forms of energy and so on but rarely does any of the characters use these power's to try to escape when they've been eaten, but since these are a different kind of creature altogether it make a lot more sense why they can on try to escape by struggling.
Sidenote to be honest one of the first things I was thinking about when I looked at this was what it would look like during and after Lily was eating some of these creatures, Which actually brought a question to my mind, if Lily still gains the ability to eat creatures bigger than her is there any size limit to what she could eat?
I only have a couple small complaints first is that the rigid tail design seems to be reused a bit between some of the characters, or is that just a common characteristic of creatures on this planet?
Second is that the ground bee seem more like a ground wasp.

Never thought about that with Pokemon vore before, but I have seen it rarely. As in a fire type uses flamethrower, but it just comes out as a belch. Also saw one where a water Pokemon used watergun to inflate the predict then ride the water out as the pred threw it all up.
While these creatures are going to be having similar moves to Pokemon, I'm coming at it from a different angle. Idea is that they harness the life force within them to proform magical like moves. Thing is after battling and the creatures energy runs out, so is their ability to harness the life force.
Voring size limits were not considered before. Off the top of my head, perhaps the limit could be up 100% more Then the preds current form. Considering this too might effect the scaling since I don't consider this the true scale canon yet.
Tail designs so far might be because of a couple factors. Perhaps I'm playing it safe in some areas. The rigid tails on the canines are a species trend however, having long straight tails. More modern breeds will be having shorter and dropped tails since they get in the way less. I do plan on having more tail types in the future. Perhaps a few suggestions if you have any?
Then perhaps I'll draft the name Wasp onto the. More just said bee because Pokemon are BEEdrill. Actually, might be able to use this to teach that bees are the good guys and wasps are the ass holes. Makes me wonder how many kids were taught to fear bees and wasps just because a cartoon called a wasp a bee.

As for a tail suggestion maybe one that's like a snake you know noodle like, or maybe one that looks like some weak and or edible but is attached to a larger carnivore and they use like a lure.

Really loving how Lily and Nickelie look now! Nice use of contrasting color in their ears. Goes well with their eyes. And interesting to compare them to a more domestic species. I'd say the stiff tail works for them.
The Hosoinight looks neat now. A more ethereal body could be scarier.
I do like how Archie looks now, but I will admit, it's rather plain in comparison to the others.
Are these to scale? I didn't think Lily would be that big compared to a bongoody. If it is, those are some pretty big rabbits they got in their world if they match Nick's size.

Glad to see my hard work at redesigning Lily payed off! Thankfully, Nickelie was much easier to design with Lily to work off of.

Coming to think of it. Archie might undergo a species change the more I think about it. While there are some pros and cons to the idea, the moving part is to have Archie's gameplay be different from the other 3.

At the size Lily is, she's going to be immobile after eating most bosses. Can picture Lily's breed being more like a dire wolf size. Actually with the Bongoody, I had it being a cow replacement in my mind. The fun thing though is that I can make sub-species so perhaps here is a breed of Bongoody that is rabbit sized. Perhaps of different flavour too... Oh idea! Could have a small rabbit sized one that uses the same defense, but the problem is because of its size. Herbivores end up eating it too.

I was surprised to learn that dire wolves existed a couple years back. I thought they were only a fictional yet common fantasy creature. And a rabbit-sized bongoody could be really cute, though funny that its defenses will bite that one in the tail considering their taste to herbivores. Pun not intended, but fitting.
Also, rabbits keep being used at the measuring stick for these. What do the rabbits look like here?
