It's been a while since I posted anything eh? I really need to get to posting things more often. =P Hopefully that'll be the case for the next little while.
Long story short, I lost that Wacom contest on DA. Didn't even make it into the 50 semi-finalists. So it's been giving me a drive to produce more and better myself.
This took 90 minutes to two hours I believe. I wanted to do something summer-like with lots of trees and general prettiness. So what else would I paint besides Mossflower? =P
No reference was used for this. Enjoy. =3 Expect more soon.

Dude, I'd say drop the furry artwork and focus on your landscapes :) You seem to understand foliage and the color of nature as if by instinct, in a way that parallels that of amazing High Renaissance artists I've seen like Albrecht Altdorfer.
I don't mean stop producing anthropomorphics, since I know it probably means a great deal to you and is something you'll always want to pursue, but in terms of professionalism, practice landscapes; give yourself challenges in nature to depict and depict them. With work like this you could be a fine artist, an environment concept artist, a gallery painter, anything.
Your work is amazing.

A wonderful landscape! The path leads the eye and it's got good composition.
My only concern is I was hoping for more depth to the clumps of trees on either side. Maybe have the branches darker and have some parts showing through? They seem too much like green blobs (the right side not so much, left one yes. Love the highlights on the right patch!)

*Walks down the path singing cheerfully*
Oh, it's a lovely day in Mossflower,
No wonder that it's Mossflower that I love!
Very beautiful dude. Awesome perspective. I always love the way you do clouds, I know I say that a lot, but you're amazing with clouds. The shadows on the pathway look so nice as well.
The only critique I have goes along with Davecko. The trees seem to lack definition, that they match each other too closely and resemble a long hedge rather than individual trees. I can kinda see a trunk and branches on the left, and I see that other trees do have slightly different green hues, and I think these, especially the trunks, need to be played up to individualize each tree.
Geez, I'm reminding myself of Bob Ross "Happy Little Trees" @.@
The grasses are perfect though. Don't change a thing there. And if you wanna make me weep tears, do more clouds and sunsets/sunrises.
