The Tarantula is one of the more uncommon light 'Mechs in today's armies, and has been since its inception in 3055. The shock-absorbing legs of the quad 'Mech made it a comfortable ride for MechWarriors. Previously it used a small array of short range weapons and a large jump pack. Today, the cockpit is replaced with a likeness to a spider's 8 eyes, likely driven by an AI for its interestingly "hoppy" gait. When scanned, it was identified not as a Tarantula, but as a "Tinker Toy", which we tacked on the -TT to this report.

Nope, but it inevitably reminds me of the background story of the Scorpion, the Goliath, and of course the Tarantua. Like what was the statement in the TRO 3025 about the Scorpion again?
"Riding a Scorpion is like riding a mad bull."
Not to mention that the Tarantula's armament is kinda weak (imho). 2 Meds and a Streak-2 are not much for a 25-ton 'Mech. 4 Meds and maybe half a ton of extra armor would have been better. Then the Tarantula would have been a Spider on steroids.
