Cody and Luke talked a good part of the night drinking berry syrups staring at the stars calmly, Croconaw was very happy that his best friend was there with him keeping him company at night because that made him remember the times in Argules when he was still A small Totodile, having as concern only his lessons to be an explorer and his younger brother in whom he always needed his care.
Luke then lost his smile that once again gave place to a sad and melancholy face, he stopped looking at that starry night's bright sky and began to look at the ground between his paws watching the fallen grass. The Croconaw then tried to ask Charmeleon a question, yet Luke realized he had been too distracted by his thoughts to even notice that his friend had already slept and seemed to be having a fun dream to be laughing all the time.
The Croconaw then returned to his most recurring thought remembered again and again the same scene in his head for days and nights, Luke could hear the last words of his brother Saren before he even sacrificed himself for the Croconaw to save them all from Dark Matter being the Soldiers he should be. But for Luke that was very painful, the sacrifice of little Larvitar made the Croconaw feel more and more a powerful sense of guilt and this haunted him.
It was a day after that night of ups and downs, Luke and Cody were already fully aware of their duty to the new mission they will have to do together to locate and alert the Soldiers to the location of the powerful dark aura in which Pantud, Marcus And Luke himself felt during the escape of Frost and return the base in Mognus or warns them via orb of communication. Marcus then gave Luke a map he had and then said,
MARCUS: Luke, this map will take you and Cody to the Chestnut tree Village, in this village you found two Soldiers who help me on my missions across the continent of grass, and maybe just MAYBE, they might know something about this evil aura.
Croconaw understood what had been passed on to him, though his partner Charmeleon saw that something did not fit:
CODY: Marcus, since these Soldiers who are in the village and must have the same communication mechanisms as us, why do not we communicate directly with them through the gadget?!
When the Electabuzz would answer Cody's question it was interrupted by Taire who was coming without approaching Marcus with a sword hilt in his left paw:
TAIRE: All the repairs have not yet been made Cody, there's a lot in Mognus that still works, and unfortunately, it's not wise to wait until normalization, as this would take time, which is all we're struggling to have now, this Frost attack complicated the Life of us soldiers.
The Charmeleon with one of his claws lightly scratched his cheek with a nod that he understood what Braixen had said, but Cody's almost apathetic expression faded completely into a startled, perplexed look at the handle of the sword. Which Taire had on her paws, noticing that the Charmeleon had seen the object she nodded to him to accompany her to a tent behind the Braixen.
Taire apologized to Marcus and Cody touched Luke's right shoulder and asked him to wait for it, Croconaw did not let go of his curiosity to what had left his friend so visibly worried, the two fire-type Pokémon then went to tent of the soldiers. Inside the tent, Taire took a serious look and stretched his paw holding the handle of the sword to Cody, and then asking in a strong tone:
TAIRE: Cody, do you know what this is?!
Charmeleon sawed his fist and said with a fierce look,
CODY: This is my father's sacred item, and it was the weapon he used until the last day of his life fighting the Hellstalkers.... Because she's with you, as I remember my father never fought her side.
Braixen approached Cody, grabbed his claw, and put the handle of his sword under it, and then said looking deep into the young soldier's eyes,
TAIRE: Cody, now your father's holy item belongs to you too, consider this a gift from Madam Xerneas for having evolved a lot with your training and missions, reached a plateau that was once unimaginable for beginners and you proved that we Soldiers can be Strong and worthy of many things, and it is THAT DIGNITY THAT TODAY GAVE HIM THE RIGHT TO IMPUNE WITH HONOR AND DISCIPLINE THE SACRED ITEM OF HIS FATHER NOW IS PART OF HIS ARSENAL, USE IT WITH A LOT OF WISDOM!
Taire spoke with much passion in his words leaving the Charmeleon until excited, Cody then took the sacred item of his father and went until Luke that was waiting for him talking with Marcus:
MARCUS: Ready for the search mission?
The Croconaw jumped up and said with a beaming smile,
LUKE: You bet Marcus, Cody and I are going to give our best!!
Taire and Marcus accompanied Luke and Cody to the exit rim of the city and watched the friends until they were distancing themselves and disappearing into the trees of the continent, Braixen then took his twig and squeezed it tightly as he looked at his looplet asking a question for Electabuzz:
TAIRE: We make the right decision, and we can live with guilt if we cheat, Maria could be right in ...
Marcus gently touches Taire's head, which makes him stop talking, and he replies:
MARCUS: Now is not the time to doubt our extinguishers, it's time to turn to their success by having to accept both victory and failure.
The Electabuzz turns and enters Mognus without looking back Taire follows, but before entering the city again she looks back with a look of concern.
Luke walked from under the trees as Cody flew under them, lasting two days and a night's journey with few breaks to spare no time, it was when Charmeleon spotted the Village of Heaven and came down to warn the Croconaw that he was already exhausted:
CODY: Animation Luke, we finally arrived in the blessed village, come here I take you flying ...
LUKE: NO! I'd rather my legs stop working.
CODY: Hehehe ...
Charmeleon was thrilled that the first part of the mission was successful, unlike Croconaw who had been relieved to finally have arrived after the long walk while Cody practically flew and glided with his sacred item that did not make him tired of being a part of his body.
Already inside the Village it was visible that it was a small and quiet place, the type grass that lived there lived on top of the trees in houses that seemed to be made of mud and twigs, unlike Mognus there were houses on the ground also and for what it was to notice Was the place where most other Pokémon lived as a Jigglypuff, who left his humble house and went to speak to the soldiers:
PUFF: Hello guys, this little Puff says hello, kekekeke. My name is Puff Jigjig Strangers, I am the Soldier from this humble village and from Kekeke Soldier to Soldier, what have you come here to do? Ow, do not tell me that something happened to Master Marcus and little Pantud?!
Jigglypuff looked worried in her own way because to the unsuspecting, she seemed to look foolish by moving her round body left and right without dropping her sacred item that appeared to be her nurse hat, Luke smiled to make her more comfortable and answered your question:
LUKE: No need to worry girl, they look great despite some misadventures. My name is Luke Hidron and this is my friend Cody Flamey, we’re here at the command of Marcus to locate a mysterious black aura, I wonder if you felt something like that?

The quiet mood grew heavy with Loudred's screams, the Charmeleon who had been smiling until then had a serious look and Luke was visibly shaken, Puff then said laughing without being shaken:

The Croconaw murmured briefly as he tightened his scarf with his right hand, Cody held Luke's left hand tightly at that hour which made Croconaw look at him and Charmeleon had a smile on his face and a calm look, as if to say, "it's All right Luke, do not be like this, we'll find her", Cody then dropped Croconaw's now quieter hand with the support of his friend and continued to hear Moufer:
MOUFER: I heard his footsteps until he reached an ancient temple, my wife is more sensitive than I was to find aura and she felt that this Pokémon still went much further after the temple, and according to her out of nowhere his aura disappeared completely. That's all we know, we sent yesterday a Tropius from the village to bring help since we do not know enough to fight this sort of thing, we're old and we've dealt with a lot... But I do not know if we could handle it alone.
CODY: I understand, we need you to give us the exact location of this temple, we have to get there immediately.
Charmeleon spoke with much disposition even with Moufer's dark tale, and with the apprehensive look of him and Jigglypuff, the Croconaw then said,
LUKE: Cody, I cannot walk anymore and it's getting dark, it's best we spend the night at this base and in the morning, we continue ....
PUFF: IT'S THE SAFEST TO DO, IT'S THE SAFEEEEEST TO DOOOOH!
Luke was interrupted by Puff's singing that in a blink of an eye left his sad feeling aside for a cheek-to-cheek smile, it was rare for the village to receive visitors and now Jigglypuff had two visitors and that seemed to cheer her up, Moufer left her face Worried aside to see the joy of his dear wife and said as friendly as possible that a Loudred could be:
MOUFER: It would be great if you spent the night with us, it's been so long since we've received no one outside Marcus and his partners who always come here from their continent-wide exploration missions.
Charmeleon really did not like the idea of them staying, yet he could not go against the Croconaw talking animatedly with the two local soldiers. Luke and Cody spent the night at the Soldier Base Chestnut tree village, and as soon as the sun went down the Charmeleon made sure to wake up the Croconaw for them to travel.
Like the entire expedition, Cody flew with his sacred item far above the trees without even being able to see Luke below who in turn guided him using Soldier's Gadget and the map in his hands, the goal now according to Puff's information And Moufer was passing by an abandoned temple that was far from the village.
Cody flew quietly when he suddenly felt the presence of a Hellstalker and quickly sent a message to Luke warning him, but when Charmeleon was going to dive into the trees to join his friend a Water pulse struck him in full and threw him away from where the Croconaw was.
Luke looks at his Gadget and sees Cody's message, and after hearing a noise over the trees he starts to feel a black aura, but whoever he was was moving fast, it was when they launched a type of black sphere in the Croconaw that swerved quickly and watched as the ball hit and swallowed a tree with that dark force and from it fell two Weedle and a Pineco and the insect Pokémon were sleeping:
SUGI: You think fast, usually one of my Dark Void is enough to arrest someone.
Luke then looked in the direction in which he heard the voice catching sight of a Smeargle of sunglasses and skates, the Croconaw saw his black aura face and said:
LUKE: I do not want to hurt you boy, please let me help you with this black aura?
With a quick movement of his tail Sugi uses the Tri Attack movement on top of the Croconaw, in normal situations Luke would deviate without hesitation only if he did that the Pokémon that fell from the tree would get hurt then the Croconaw received the damage with burning. The negative condition gave Luke a fire energy that was not his and consequently burned his body whenever he made some movement. Sugi then said taking off his sunglasses:
SUGI: That's what you get for calling me "boy",if you did not notice I'm a lady and your comment hurt me a lot, but relax it will not be half of what I'll hurt you, haha.
Meanwhile, Cody was recovering from what he had suffered after being struck directly by the Water Pulse coup, but seeing a leftover on his shore Charmeleon cleverly wore his cape which made him disappear and reappear in a safe place giving him the Chance to see a Frogadier cutting the rock where he was propped up with a single blow of machete.
Cody then holds the handle of his father's sword and from it comes a great flame in the form of an Elemental sword, Gueko smiled at the look of Charmeleon and said mocking him:
GUEKO: I know this sacred item, Guekkkk, I wonder who he is going and this beautiful cloak when I kill you, maybe it's my sacred rug and table stand.
The Charmeleon disappears again before the Frogadier's eyes and reappears right in front of him ready to cut him in half with his saber of fire, and with his agility Gueko tries to block with his machetes that have crossed the sacred item that burns the chest of the Frogadier Who falls to the ground with pain dropping his weapons, Cody then says with a grim look:
CODY: I'm not too hard on Hellstalkers about what Luke has told me for years, but I must thank you for saying that bunch of shit in my face when Luke is not here to see I burn you alive ...
Frogadier then uses the Dark Pulse in the Charmeleon that uses his cape to deflect flying, Gueko then picks up his katanas in the hand and rises showing the big burn mark that Cody left on his chest and with much hatred the Frogadier says:
GUEKO: I WILL BREAK YOU ENTIRELY UNDERSTOOD?! JUST WAIT ME!!
Far away from the two battles Luke's old companions, Nero the Jolteon and Mei the Servine arrive in the Chestnut tree village where they are received by Puff:
PUFF: Own, but how lovely are you looking for your bride?
Jolteon turns red and responds with his low ears:
NERO: No No, aamm I’m I’m I'm just after a certain ice-type female Pokémon ...
Mei then quietly asks:
MEI: We believe that unfortunately she has become a Hellstalker, you seem to me a soldier knows where we can find it please? I promise we will not cause problems or anything.
Jigglypuff was moved by the story told by Nero and with the kind air of Mei, and even though she could not tell the information she gave to Luke and Cody she did not resist and revealed to the two Pokémon the same thing she told the Soldiers, Nero and Mei thank The Puff and follow your journey without worries.
The luck is now on, can Luke and Cody face the pair of assassin Hellstalkers Sugi and Gueko and what is Nero's real interest in the Hellstalkers of the continent of Grass?
