Thank you everyone, who helped contribute to Summer's vet fund, and all the wonderful emotional outreach and support you gave me. I can't thank you enough for the kindness and love. Together we raised close to $200!! This will help us so much, because the veterinarian did perform surgery, and all of the expenses totaled to $850. What a significant help you all have given us, thank you.
I say this with a heavy heart today, but my sweet lovely girl, Summer, passed away last night after her procedure. She was still under the effects of anesthesia and the vet said she should be okay to head home soon, but her heart suddenly stopped. We never thought the risk would become her reality, because she was in great condition.
I've spent nearly 4 years with her, and she has been such a lovely companion. She has given me strength and support and purpose caring for this small being and making sure she was happy. You left such an impact on my heart, Summer.
I must take some time to grieve, but I will be back. Pets become your family no matter how small (or scaly), and I did everything I could to save her. Rest peacefully little girl.
