Some (late) art for Mother's Day. Kind of. I'll finish it up tomorrow, but I'm kind of afraid to show her, I worry she might think it's silly ;w;

Anyway, my mom loves sailing ships. Lighthouses, compass roses, anything nautical she's into (which is why I bought her a leather journal with a ship's wheel on the cover for Mother's Day but it didn't ship yet, d'oh >w<'). This got me to thinking about sailor's myths, and selkies came up, and long story short, I think if my mom was an animal person she'd be a seal. She jokes that she'd be a great white whale because she has weight problems but I don't think so, she's my momma seal, she might be big but that just means she gives good hugs ;w;
