Here's my favorite snap of the bunch so far. I've put her on hold for tonight. If anybody has any tips for smoothing out fingerprints and rough spots and cracks, or on facial detailing, let me know! Eyes are my downfall in sculpting.

When I was in art class, I learned that the best way to get rid of those is with the backside of a spoon =)! Or you can always wet the area just enough to try and smooth it out that way =)! Hope this helps and this piece is simply fantastic! I'd love to see it completed =)!
ChipNDeath said he uses alcohol on a paintbrush before baking to smooth out fingerprints..for details like the face, kitty just uses a toothpick or needle...and a lot of time..
When working with greenstuff (a two party modeling putty, might work different than what you're using), you can generally dip your smoothing tool in vaseline and rub out any imperfections. The vaseline keeps the greenstuff from sticking to the tool. I don't know how vaseline might react to whatever you're using (sculpy?).
looks very promising so far. ^^
as for the eyes... don't know if this works, since I'm not sculpting myself, but.. the iris of an eye is always flat, with the orb of the cornea above it. now, after painting the iris I would apply a drop of Krystal Kleer to it, a water-soluble glue which dries clear as glass. it would need a protective layer of clear coat to it, though. it should be available in modeler's shops. this method shurely would beat trying to sculpt the eye and paint it.
unless of course, you have a source for glass bead eyes...
