I must admit there is a curiosity in adults that never ceases to vex my wondering mind with its perplexing riddle, for which I've yet to receive a justifiable answer. Why is it that the simple pleasures that brought us such joy as children are strictly forbidden, shunned and denied by our adult selves? I fail to see the evil in blowing bubbles, there is almost a zen like simplicity in such a simple act that can bring a smile to even the hardest hearts. Yet adults claim they must put such childish things away, life is work, you must keep both feet on the ground. Why are children allowed, encouraged, to be happy yet as adults expected to work hard at being miserable?
