A original machine designed for the fic: the Marauder is the SATAM equivalent of a arial HK from the terminator films crossed with a hoverbot on steroids.
It's is essentially a flying arsenal, it's equipped with your standard fair, missiles, plasma cannons, etc.
As far as size goes I would put it at about the size of a Hind D gunship, maybe a little bigger with the wings fully extended.
The trick in designing this badboy was to make sure it wouldn't look out of place next to a squad of swatbots, in other words trying to come up with an original design that gels with the SATAM style.
Don't know if I accomplished what I set out, but one things for certain, I personally wouldn't want one of these chasing me ^_^

I know I'm not the greatest artist, but I see one in this at the moment. On the front view, the angle of representation seems a bit off in terms of how it should be drawn along the horizon line. The parts on the left side appear larger than the ones on the right, which are closer and should appear larger.
Other than that, I think it's way awesome! Although I'm not sure if this really falls under SonicSatAM with those wings and flaps. Just a matter of opinion, really, but overall the design is really nice.

many thanks for the critique, I'll admit that I'm still practicing when it comes to perspective, mostly I could consider this a colored sketch cause I still think I can flesh out the design a bit more, as for the wings and flaps they're part of it's high speed mode, (which I suppose i need to draw up ^^;) but if you have any ideas on how to give it a more SATAM feel, I'm all ears
The thing about SatAM is that most designs were more rounded and less linear. Take the hoverbots, for instance, or the swatbot transport units. All of them shar ea similar design quality (Fairly poor, in my opinion due to the lack of detail), and even the Stealth Bots had a more rounded design flow, even though the wings came out to a point, there was still that whole curving flow. Kinda reminded me of a heavily armed boomerang. XD
I understand that it can be A tough shape to work with, but judging by your Honor Guard concept, I'm sure you can come up with something equally epic. Try taking the hoverships the swatbots always chased Sonic around in and see if you can add your own influence to the design without changing the shape of the vehicle too much. You'd be surprised at what detail can do for a simple design.
