Ok, I know I'm not that great of an artist myself, and that this is a really critical look at certain people.
But I'm not CHARGING YOU REAL WORLD MONEY TO JUST LOOK AT MY ART. :I
I'm not really sorry. People who do this can go fuck themselves. If it was a big project, like an illustrated story or a comic or something along those lines, I could understand that. Or if it was just privileges like seeing art early or in progress or special variants, or getting rewards or something- But to make people pay money just to see any of your fucking art at all is absurd. I can't tell you not to, and I'm not saying you have to share everything on the internet that you make. Of course not. And if you want to make money off your hard work, you should try to. But don't be a scumwad about it with clickbait previews and restricting basic fucking access to your art. You make money through commissions or through community support, and you don't garner that like this.
Angry vent art from seeing way too much of this lately. I love Patreon, but I hate people.

Charging money for your work is a very audacious move, no matter what, because you are placed on a much higher standard with the quality due to people wanting to get their money's worth. For the artist's sake, they better have a lot of artistic talent and be able to pump out a lot of content if they want to make money off of it. Take DarkViper; Currently, he charges about $30 for his work, but each $30 piece is a package of pictures put together, and they are of very high quality.
