looks like a Camel Spider...them things (camel spiders) are nasty buggers and they have an attitude....if you come across one, don't try to bat at it with a broom, 'cause it'll only go into attack mode. Instead, the best thing to do is catch it in a box or something and take it out where you want to let it go, and release it.....camel spiders are also the fastest bug (10mph)

It's not a camel spider (Solifugid). They don't live here and aren't spiders. This is a spider for sure.

no, seriously, camel spiders have a nasty temper...I was in Kuwait for a year in a half. I've seen 'em. and they're mean and fast.

Nicely done, Queue! Depth of field on this one is absolutely perfect. I think it came out better than the other one, the flash on the other one is just too harsh, and you lose the detail of his legs in the blast. This one is about perfect, I think.

I rather like the result of the textured ceiling, it makes for a very cool effect. Bonus for even getting crisp enough to count the hairs! :D

Hehe, he was quite small and still and the hall was dark. I barely noticed him. He never moved while I did my photos.

This is a ghost spider. A real spider.

That is a camel spider. Which is not a spider, is morphologically very different from this spider here and not native to the location I live.
