Pilanias was an Aquatic Warrior Beast who appeared on the final episode of the Mazinger Z - that resembled Dimetrodon https://www.google.com.pr/#q=Dimetrodon+ with two large fins extending from its back. Its lizard-like head with light-blue eyes, sharp white teeth, . It is covered in blue scales, a yellow underbelly, and four light blue clawed legs. His real face was on its forehead. Pilanias was capable of swimming underwater as well short distance flight. Its body scales are acidic, capable of melting through Alloy Z, it can shoot bombs through its mouth.

After the final battle with Dr. Hell, Archduke Gorgon and Great General of Darkness evoke Pilanias and SuperHuman Warrior Beast Gratonios into action. In their combat of the reawaken Mikene Empire, Pilanias and Gratonios destroyed Diana A, Boss Borot and Mazinger (still having some battle damage from its final fight with Dr. Hell). The Monsters then headed to the Photon Power lab and proceeded to attack only to be stopped by Great Mazinger - Pilanias was destroyed when one of the Great Mazinger swords entered through his head and out the back after Gratonios with Thunder Break. While a first defeat for Mikene, it kept Koji, Sayaka, Mazinger and Diana A out of commission for the remaining of the Great Mazinger/Mikene Empire War, with Shiro and the Borot gang staying to provide help to the new heroes - the original pilots and their mechas did not returned until the end of the Great Series.

Pilanias was part of the roster of Warrior Beast in the original Ota era Manga, the Shin Mazinger Zero Manga, and Mazinkaiser vs The Great General of Darkness OVA, where he was seeing fighting a fleet of UN Warships with fellow Aquatic members Slava and Goldova. In the Climax of the OVA, the three hid in the lake close to the Ruin of the Photon Power Lab before Koji arrived on the Boss Borot. In the ensuing attempt to kill Koji, Pilanias, Slava and Goldova were destroyed when the Surviving Scientists launched Mazinkaiser from a secret Photon Power Lab facility in orbit - the Heat of the Impact melted the three Warrior Beasts.
