With his deceptively long reach and body wrapping throws it should be no surprise to see Dhalsim fit the look and style of a Cobra!

...wow. And the prize for "Least Faves" goes to...
Seriously, you took a gamble here. I don't think you could have gone less anthro with this design. Hoping to garner the feral snake fandom? : P
Still, with just colors and accessories you made him unmistakenly Dhalsim. The skulls were a given, but I really like how you reappropriated his bracelets/earrings. On the other hand, what are his shorts for, now? Not much to hide. : P Gotta wonder how he ties that knot...
You went full psychadelic with the background, too. Not the color of fire I associate with the indian firebreather, but it doesn't look half-bad against his skin... scaletone.

You never know!
The community may embrace the idea of having an artist forgo their own niche preferences to be more inclusive and expand on the variety of creatures featured in... Ahh fuck it. Furries couldn't give a crap about that shit.
I'm sure as a snake, he will find a way to deal with a knot. Seems like the sort of thing he would be quite good at!

You may think me odd for this, but Dhalsim was the character that made me think the most about feet and tickling in the realm of Street Fighter when I was little. Something about him stood out to me as a prominent barefoot fighter and I was absolutely convinced that he tickled characters with those stretchy limbs :P I find it quite ironic that he's here without any feet whatsoever!
Don't take this to mean that I don't think this picture is awesome, though! This is a very creative choice of species for the character and it's a fun way to tie it to Indian stereotypes with the snake charmers and such. The design is excellent as well and it really does remind one of Dhalsim with the colors and costume. I actually most like the eyes here with the defined brow. There's something very 'comic book'y about it that strikes me.
So, yes, great piece here, FP :) Brought back some fond memories of when I first got into my favorite fighting game series!

Hmm... Honestly, after thinking about it, I would have gone with a frog to represent Sim. Frogs are referenced in a couple of Yoga poses, have pretty stretchy limbs, and also have crazy color patterns that fit Dhalsim's more wild palette. Not to mention, I've seen more than a couple of games where frogs breathe or spit fire, so it seems to be another trope that would have fit Dhalsim well, in my opinion :)
Definitely took an interesting route with this choice, but certainly doesn't make it any less engaging! I like the use of the snake, despite it being limbless, and it certainly strives for the whole stretching mechanic Dhalsim uses ingame. So that said, a very well-done job! The element of surprise is always a good thing when it comes to narrowing down certain aspects of a character. And that said, it goes to show how other people think in terms of character and design, cause let's face it, everyone thinks differently. ^^
Once again, awesome work!
