I like it actually. Of course, I am a sucker for memorial last words. Something about facing down mortality with a grin on your face just makes me like a character.


But then, I might be crasy.

it kinda goes with the character. He'd rather die knowing he freaked someone out then sniffle and beg for his life. Its not so much a pride thing as preserving the value of the life you live. What's the point of living if you spend it afraid?

Reminds me of the Nirvana song "All Apologies"... with the final line, repeated, is "All in all is all we are".

Really, really creepy, considering some people consider that song to be Kobain's suicide note. Coupled with what appears to be Patches drawing down on who is most likely Elm... yea, some synergies definitely going off there.

I'm a big Nirvana fan, I really loved just about every song they did and I thought those words were so beautifully tragic they've stuck with me ever since.

I didn't think you were, and I thank you for it, however we all know the character Patches tends to... shall we say be an adrenaline junky? Burn the candle at both ends? Thrillseeker? Yea, something like that.

I don't think Elm would actually pull the trigger on Patches, many times though he has threatened it, at least not a headshot. I could see winging him, possibly, but Elm wouldn't kill Patches, not even in one of his rages. And Patches knows this. And plays on it from time to time. What can I say, he's Kitsune. They're like that.

However, that situation? Staring Elm in the face with Elm's infamous revolver screwed to his head? Those lyrics? Perfect.

Well Elm did swear he would be the one to kill Patches one day (I think that's his version of being sweet) and he has shot Patches many many times, often to hit someone behind him or just to punish the fox. I wouldn't call Patches a thrill seeker, he just likes to have a bit of fun...

...it's just another brick in THE WALL.
