Perhaps one of our greatest local mysteries is the disappearance of the class of 2017.

It happened at the graduation ceremony of the class in question. Everyone in attendance -- students, faculty, visiting parents -- up and vanished. The gym where the assembly was held contained nothing but knocked over chairs and some pieces of discarded clothing. Authorities were baffled -- where could they all have gone? Judging from the stack of diplomas to be handed out, it appears that the ceremony began as planned, but was interrupted somewhere in the "B's". No bodies were ever found, and none of the attendees were located elsewhere. The only evidence found was a handwritten note reading "Thanks for lunch." This was especially odd, as lunch was not served at the assembly.

As no further evidence has been forthcoming, it seems that this is one case that will remain forever a mystery.
