Sometimes the souls of the departed linger.

The reasons for this can vary wildly. Sometimes they have unfinished business. Sometimes they think they have been taken too soon. And sometimes they are just too alive to move on right away.

These souls remain in the mortal coil, haunting the places they knew in life. They dally in the mortal realm, often causing distress to any living who might be sensitive enough to detect their presence.

But they must be wary of dallying too long. For if they don’t move on to the next world soon enough, they may fall prey to another fate. A fate that won’t take “no” for an answer.

And they will not be allowed to linger any more.
