Oh, no. A snipe guard is to ensure someone does not claim something at the last minute - meaning someone who placed a bid for a long amount of time isn't outbid at the last second the auction ends.
Meaning someone can't cheat a piece just by waiting till the very last moment to bid

I think it's kind of rude that someone waited 4 days with the highest bid just to be outbid at the last minute >
Not AFTER it has ended - but at the last moment that an auction is still open...If that makes sense ;-;
