Species - Chiffoni Info Sheet
A quick little page for my new original species.
This is a Chiffoni. A land-dwelling species of creature with short fur and lengths of fabric growing out of their bodies at specific points. They’re completely capable of kinetically maneuvering the long fabric length at the base of their spine as a prehensile tail.
Chiffoni juveniles are given a vaguely disc-shaped stone to wrap their tails around at a young age. This stone is swapped out for larger sizes as they grow, allowing them to strengthen their tail and learn to carry and manipulate objects with it. This is important, because when a Chiffoni matures, they will seek out a Bond Object.
A Bond Object can be anything. Ranging in size from quite small to barely large enough to lift with their tail, it is something the Chiffoni connects to on a higher level. When found, they shed the stone they’ve been carrying and replace it with their newfound object. Often, an object can tell you a little about the Chiffoni’s nature. Examples including a key representing a curious and puzzling nature, a mirror representing a sense of vanity, etc. Etc. No matter the age, once a Chiffoni has found their bond item, they are considered Matured.
