M'kay, so here's an elk I did on the Sketcher program over at ArtSpots. In case you dont know what I'm talking about, it's a chat/paint program with some basic tools and a sub-par layering system, but it works well enough. Plus I can talk to awesome peoples. :3
So yeah, this was done totally using the "pen" tool. A photo ref was used since I've never done an elk before EVER. You can totally find my ref if you Google correctly, but rest assured that nothing was copied, as it would've been impossible to do so. Durr.
The background was done in about 30 minutes in CS3 since, as I mentioned, the layering in Sketcher fails and I couldn't add one after I finished the elk. I also scaled this pic down a lot.

Well anyway good first picture Im from dA as well so welcome aboard! ^.=.^ Your pics really nice I dont know how you manage to pull a 30 min background off like that you should teach me sometime. O.=.o Id return the favour In some way and you used the pen tool to create this!? Damn.. you really are good. I just use It to clean up edges and make outlines. ^.=.^
