I'm usually a medic, so one or two direct scattergun hits take me down. I like a run-and-gun tactic to counter them. Just always keep moving and backpeddling in a circle, so they can't get behind me.
Gotta be tough as an Engie, though, since your main gun is stationary. Do they follow you if you lure them away from the sentry? Or not so much?
