Why are pandas always depicted with green eyes (with the exception of Tairu Panda)?

Chen Stormstout and Taran Zhu from Warcraft have golden eyes.

Also, I did it primarily because my main fursona, Chaos, has blue eyes. So I didn't want to reuse blue eyes for James.
