It was one of those calm nights. The chilly night air and soothing nocturnal ambiance shrouds my workshop...
Then with a sudden slam, the door opens. My attention shifts from the book I was reading to the door. There I saw a tall canine figure silhouetted by the beam of the full moon. My homunculi minions gathered forward to repel this seemingly stoic intruder. He didn't flinch nor stood in stance to draw his weapon. But there is something about him that made me ave this gut feeling that he isn't here with ill-intentions.
"Let him through, guys." I said
With that command they backed off allowing him to walk further to me. As he walked closer, I examined him from head to toe. From what I can gather from his appearance and the atmosphere he's giving, I can say he had seen and been into a lot of battles.
Once my desk is bording him from me, he took some time to look around, his one functioning eye looked left and right as his head turn slightly to get hom a better view before looking at a pile of blank contract papers. He took one from the top of the pile and read through the whole statement.
"Oh? Thinking of working for me. Well you will get benefits and the pay is good, so long as you abide by the terms and conditions written there." I said as I stood up and walked to the side of my desk.
Without a word from him, he took a quill pen from the ink well and started filling out the required fields on the paper. I didn't expect this as I looked on with wide eyes and an arched brow. He then pierced his thumb and used his blood as an ink on the quill pen to sign the signature line at the bottom center of the paper. Once he's all done he truned his back on the desk and handed me the filled out contract.
"Contact me when you need something." He said.
I took the paper from him. I was quite shocked, he filled out every field and used his blood to sign his signature on the signature line as stated. "I... didn't expect you to actually sign up so willingly..." I said.
"I need the money." He said before walking out the workshop.
I took a look at the paper then look at him as he closed the door. "Well..." I said to myself, "I guess I got a rather good right hand wolf now."
