As long as you're careful with patterning and leave a little extra seam allowance just in case you mess up a seam, they're not too bad.

My personal suits are all hand-sewn. Stretchy materials would allow you to make a skin-tight suit more easily, but the overall process would be the same.

I use upholstery thread because I find it to be more durable. As to stitches, I mostly use either a ladder stitch or a blanket stitch
