We are back with more Appmon art and won't be the last. At least until October :3
Anyway, the unexpected is going to happen. With only four episodes after debut, Offmon is going to evolve for the first time next episode.
Straight into Shutmon.
It's somehow hinted he's playing a role in the plot (and appears to not be pretty) but I seriously wasn't expecting him to skip a stage and evolve right into ultimate so fast.
I'm pretty content with Offmon right now, he's being real adorable and his issues are taking it sweet time to get helped. That's character development to never get taken for granted.
And one of them involves bitting his partner's head or arms when is afraid or nervous. That's cute and jazz but if that one issue stays by....might pose a problem :3 #hehasverysharpteeth
(just kidding of course this won't happen. But in the 3DS game, Shutmon's problems didn't get fixed with evolution so it's not too orthodox to think about it)
Of course can't wait to that episode to air. The preview only showed Shutmon's legs and tail (and it's so fluffy!) so can't tell yet how he'll look like in his CGI looks but so far, he's beautiful!
Ah right, since the anime gives special treatment to make all evolved Appmon in CGI style, I'm inked them with multicolored lineart as a nod like did here :3

that's a valid point, and it's understandable.
Idk, i just stopped watching digimon mostly cause 1. didn't know it was airing and 2. kind of lost interest after frontier turned me off really badly.
I don't think i'd mind giving some of the newer seasons a watch, just that idk what to expect XD;

Appmon is very different from Digimon in several aspects.
First it treats appmon partners as equals. Every one has a story and a personality.
Second even the human characters are interesting.
And whoever is a sucker to gayness there's a hinting one there. I personally don't give a darn to that but 99% of the fans do.

I dunno if I should recommend, people are either purists to the first seasons or simply don't want to give it a chance. My reasons are pretty trivial anyway so who I am to judge?
Anyway it's a long run so you may simply sit by and watch all upcoming art I'm bound to do about it and see if it's worthy of your time.

eh, i wouldn't consider myself a purist. While i did watch the first three seasons, i realistically only like the third for it's writing. The first i can make fun of for how bad it is XD
the second is...idk how people like it.
