About the art:
A lot of anatomy practice and different angles of Jericho, mostly to show his markings from different angles. I wanted to draw him snarling just to show his teeth and mouth interior.

About the character:
Jericho is a lupin ranger created by me for a D&D campaign (specifically, Savage Tides) I was originally planning to play a paladin, but that character is better suited to a more character/story focused game; Jericho can work in a combat focused group. Jericho is relatively old, but has little experience adventuring. Mostly, he researches various monsters and spends time in the forests near the city where he lives. He is very athletic, especially for his age, and often swims or climbs trees. He's generally very meek and polite, he enjoys learning and gets overwhelmed when around crowds. He spends most of his time on his own in a library or walking in the forest. His typical expression is the one in the upper left corner; he tends to look startled even when he's not and usually looks afraid because he's trying to be non-confrontational.
Fideles is Jericho's eagle animal companion; she is a female Philippine Eagle, making her one of the largest birds of prey around. She is a relatively friendly bird and less high-strung than most eagles.
