First of all: my otter isn't going anywhere, so don't worry! I just wanted to try creating a character all by myself from scratch and this happened.

I've been wanting to get a deer character for myself for a year now or something, but the problem has been that designing one without actually drawing it myself is really hard and relies too much on other people's taste. So after crying after a deer for so long, I said "fuck it, I'm going to do it". And so, after a few weeks of designing and drawing, I ended up with Cashew, and frankly, I think I exceeded myself on all possible levels.

I mean the pose is as simple as it gets and I forgot to draw digitigrade legs etc. but given that I usually draw just a few times a year (only headshots), it's unbelievable that I actually finished this. I know the reality will smack me in the face as soon as I try to draw a different pose but I'm just incredibly happy about being able to finish a project like this since all my other projects tend to end up unfinished and forgotten, haha.

Can't wait to get some art of him, it'll be super interesting to see how other artists draw him <3
