"It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,

I am the captain of my soul." -excerpt from Invictus by William E. Henley
Another Mouse Guard work because even when I plan on doing other things, little mice in cloaks come to drag me back. This is a piece I did for one of the competitions at Battle Artist being hosted by
rayn3r-4rt. Got a chance to try some new tricks as well so a competitive and learning experience and a lot of fun to try out. Started out on paper to get the rough done and ended in Photoshop CC.

Very good, I love Mouse Guard, I wish there was more art of that world. By the way, I'm assuming that this head is from an ermine... I know it looks like the head of a bear, but because of the size relative to the mouse's body, and the distance that perspective tells you the mouse is, I'd say it's a white ermine. I am right?
