Ethan: Hello, is anyone out there? This is Captain Ethan Emberheart of the Cosmic Cruiser Ho-Oh, a defensive arc currently in deep space near the Diamond Solar System.
Jet: Hey, this is Squadron Commander Jet Chambers, also aboard the Ho-Oh. We seem to be near a nebula that's affecting our scanners and comms transmissions and giving them incredible range. Damn, I think we could reach just about anywhere out there right now!
Ethan: So, uh, does anyone feel like talking? Please feel free to message Jet or myself, or both of us if you'd like!

E: Oh, hello there! And thank you for the question! We, well, I say we but of course I mean engineers, architects and the like had been building the Ho-Oh for deep space voyages for decades. The idea was it would be launched into space with enough room, supplies and of course crew and passengers to live for many years until finding a new planet and begin colonization.
J: Yeah, what he said, except about a year before Ho-Oh was constructed, neighboring systems and ships began coming under attack by a threat called the Regi. So Ho-Oh was transformed, sort of last minute into a gunship.
E: It's... still home to over a thousand of us, but yes, its weapons compliment is substantial.
J: And as for the squads... We have seven squadrons of mecha pilots onboard which works out to well, what began as 42 of the finest fighter pilots I've ever seen.

E: The Ho-Oh was constructed around a molten energy core, an artificially created and contained star. It produces enough energy to power the ship and the cannons array indefinitely, or so I'm told. Ho-Oh herself has thirty cannons and lasers across the hull, making her quite the fearsome bird! We alternate firing them because the shots themselves (from the cannons) generate a lot of heat that could cause internal damage if they weren't allowed to cool down and be checked between shots. One cannon, after firing requires between two and three minutes before it can be fired again safely.
J: The mechas vary rather drastically from one to the next. Some are small fighter craft that look like shuttles, others are robotic in nature. Take mine for instance, it's a blue and white Dragon-Mark, bipedal model with an anti-Regi pulse rifle as well as lasers built into the mecha under the wings and in the shoulders. The laser energy comes from the mecha's core, but it's not an indefinite source like the Ho-Oh's artificial star core. My rifle uses ammo. I can fight all out, nonstop-firing for about forty minutes, and yes, sometimes it comes to that.

J: On my squad I'm the commander, the lead, the ace, whatever you wanna call it. There are five other members beneath me, Raze the Quilava, Samira the Swellow, Tyler the Tyrogue, Otis the Floatzel and Lucas the Electabuzz, my best friend and known asshat. Samira is the commanding officer under me.
J: Geez... I dunno, he's always kinda sweet. I um, I guess when he proposed to me? It was so dumb. We were just waking up and--
E: You were just waking up, I had been up for an hour already.
J: Okay, fair enough. Anyway He had brought back breakfast from the cafeteria and set it on the table beside the bed, so that was nice, but then I noticed he was just kneeling beside the bed, looking at me, with a kinda weird look on his face.
E: I had been waiting for him to wake up for like thirty minutes by that point.
J: Annnnyway. I wake up and I asked him what he was doing. Then he kinda leand in and takes my hand and asks me to marry him. It was, it was really sweet. We had barely even talked about marriage at that time.
E: I knew I was going to marry that man.
J: ... Yeah, me too.
E: The sweetest thing Jet has ever done for me was say yes.

E: Well, I really enjoy spicy food! The spicier the better! If it can make me sweat, that's the best!
J: He's not kidding. It's the fire in his veins I think. I can barely look at food that's hot enough for him. As for me, I like the fancy stuff, foie, rare cuts of meat, a really rich dessert that melts on my tongue!
E: He loves that stuff because we don't really have any of it aboard the Ho-Oh. Luxury items are something of a precious commodity.
J: We both enjoy a nice stiff drink! As for movies... I doubt you've heard of any of our films, but I really love animated stuff! It's so cool! There was actually a point in my life, when I was a kid when I thought maybe I could do something like that.
E: I like a good action flick, and monster movies!
J: (whispering) He says that but I've caught him watching more romance movies than action movies.
E: They're nice!

Interesting... so...
Ethan: So we have Pokemon games where we catch them all... are you a dog... cat... tiger... it just says legendary beast but what *kind* of beast?
Jet: You're good -- though it seems that Lati@s are more shiny instead of furry. You make it look good ;p

J: What the fuck?
E: Uh, I'm an Entei, so I look like an Entei? I don't think I'm very bestial. I suspect I would have to see your game to understand what you mean?
J: Ethan's told me I get that shininess you're talking about when I'm in the thick of combat... or in the midst of sex!
E: ... It's true.
J: Well, if I'm on top of my shaving, I don't get much scruff along my jawline or chin. I dunno, in our world Latioses and Latiases all have very short, fine fur. I guess you can only really tell close up.

Yep. So we'll put the games aside and table those... never.
Now I'm curious about your side... is there a 'dominant' pokemon species on your side? Is there a pecking order based on what you are? Or a caste system? Or are you more socially evolved and people can literally do what they want if given the chance?
Now I'm curious about your side... is there a 'dominant' pokemon species on your side? Is there a pecking order based on what you are? Or a caste system? Or are you more socially evolved and people can literally do what they want if given the chance?
E: As an outsider to our societies and cultures, this might require a good amount of explanation, but since I guess we're now something of emissaries to this alien 'human' race, I'll give you the main points!
J: I'm gonna get more coffee, you want some, babe?
E: Oh, uh, please! Anyway, I would like to tell you that amongst the many subspecies of Pokemon there is no pecking order or caste system as you put it but that's not entirely true. There will always be groups that consider themselves greater than, but for the most part we are not so dissimilar. The vast majority of Pokemon here are bipedal and relatively similar in size. Families are usually formed between members of the same subspecies, a male and a female but certainly this is not the only way of things. We have many families aboard the Ho-Oh consisting of different species, and yes, we can reproduce this way. Jet and I are a family now of course, though I doubt we'll be having any kids! Haha! *Ahem* Our planet is called Arceon after our creator and it is inhabited by hundreds of different types of Pokemon, for the most part living together peacefully. If someone has the drive and ability, they should be able to achieve whatever it is that they're after. I was lucky enough to be born into a family of Entei with a long line of military service, specifically officers. I guess I knew my path from a young age.
Certain subspecies of Pokemon live apart from the rest, like those with steel type or rock origins. Don't get me wrong, I have friends who have construct backgrounds, but usually they have their own societies. Many of them don't, er, reproduce in conventional ways and are constructed. They don't even need to breathe! There is a colony of Carbink living in the asteroid belt offworld, and they are friendly and intelligent beings for example.
Eevee and their different evolutions have lived apart from the rest of the world aboard monstrous space stations. They aren't bad people, they just have a strange devotion to themselves and their people. There was a point where they almost entirely died out due to infertility affecting them specifically. Their greatest scientists had to tamper with their very genetics in order to combat this and save their race. As a result, they could be considered a bit distrustful of the rest of us, but again, not all Eevee feel this way. We currently have three Eevee aboard the Ho-Oh in fact.
Lastly, *long sigh* are the Regi. A swarm of well, their own species I suppose from a living planet we call Regius. They are born, created, we have no idea honestly, but they destroy, they consume all things. We still don't understand their motivations, we only know they are invasive and so far cannot be reasoned with. We have been fighting them for years now and the best I can offer is we seem evenly matched. I really wish we knew more about them.

E: Oh Arceus, yes, a lot of training, mental and physical. As far as the crew, there are strict requirements to have even been considered as a candidate. Let's take me as the example: Years of school, basic military training, then years more to become an officer, a pilot, learning key components of the ship, training in low or zero gravity, as well as for the artificial gravity of the cruiser... I've been preparing for command my entire adult life, and I'm not exaggerating. Even then, I almost felt over my head when I first took the helm. Sometimes I envy the civilians in that regard, although nearly all of the civilians were selected for, in addition to their great interest in being aboard, specific vocations and skills they possess. We would be in serious jeopardy if we only had one doctor for example, or one surgeon for example. We have an extensive mentoring program onboard as well, for anyone who wants to learn more in their own field, as well as learning other fields, making them even more valuable assets, not just for the crew, but all of the Ho-Oh's passengers.
Final question, mostly out of curiosity... based on... something else I mentioned earlier... do you guys have special powers? Like conjuring the elements? Psychic manipulation? Anything like that? I know you guys said there's inorganic creatures of rock and steel, but... it's something I'm curious. We can't do anything like that so the jealousy circle would be complete if a universe existed with a better society, better technology, and some of that too.
Mostly joking on the jealousy thing. XD
Mostly joking on the jealousy thing. XD
E: Special powers eh? Well, yes, in a way, though probably not quite as flashy as you're thinking. Most Pokemon have natural affinities to certain elements. Historians tell us that tens or maybe hundreds of thousands of years ago we were more in touch with these elements although more primitive overall. But many of us can feel a, hm, a kinship with these elements? Help me out Jet.
J: Supposedly my ancestors were psychic dragons, which sounds... insane I know. But, well, every now and then I get visions.
E: Here we go...
J: It's true! I can sometimes, see things before they happen, or, well, sometimes I think I can see myself, or Ethan but it's not us, it's like alternate versions of ourselves in a parallel reality. I've talked with other Pokemon with psychic ancestry and some of them say the same kind of stuff!
E: Well, I believe you, because I love you. *kisses Jet's head*
J: You Dick! Anyway, I know what I see sometimes, even though I can't control it. It's not like I have dragonbreath and Ethan doesn't spit fire out of his ass.
E: Lucky for you I can't... I can, feel fire though, I mean literally as well as figuratively. I'm basically fireproof, which is pretty cool although it's not like it comes up very often. More of a party trick with a lighter. And I don't love water. I drink it of course, and I shower, but I don't like being submerged in it. It makes me feel... uncomfortable, powerless. A holdover from a time when I was a fire beast running around? Some scientists think so.
J: I seriously doubt we were animals running around shooting fire and psychic energy balls at each other, ever. What sense would that make?

J: Haha, not really the type of question Ethan was expecting! I'm down with almost anything, though sometimes Ethan needs some convincing. You know, we have fun, we're careful. For a big tough Entei he sure likes to be dominated and sometimes tied up so I can--
E: Jet!! You don't have to tell them all that! For heaven's sake!

J: Haha, I wasn't really into the idea, but I see how much he enjoys it so I'm happy to tie him up and take advantage of him now. Haha, I don't think Ethan will answer you, but I have a feeling about that: He's the captain of this whole ship with all of these people looking to him to be in control, be in command and make the best decisions at all times for everybody. I know it wears on him, that much responsibility all the time... I think when it's just the two of us, he really likes to, and needs to relinquish that control and have someone else be in charge, telling him what to do and making him feel good. He doesn't want it that way all the time, but I'm happy to oblige him when he does!

Both: What kinds of things go on aboard the Cosmic Cruiser Ho-Oh during day to day life? Anything fun, or anything weird?
Do you have much free time? Is there a lot to do?
Are there any places- both on and off the Cosmic Cruiser Ho-Oh- that you enjoy visiting?
Sorry for all of the questions...

E: No need to apologize! It's a surprisingly lazy day here, it's nice to talk to folks beyond the ship for a change of pace!
J: If it's a day without combat, and they usually are I guess, a typical day is waking up, breakfast from the crew cafeteria, gym with Ethan, and then it really depends. Lately I've been getting back into drawing stuff, like I used to. Drawing folks around the Ho-Oh, or stuff from back home, trees and clouds and stuff. I think the main thing is to stay busy. Life out here can, weigh on your mind sometimes.
E: I love to read, and listen to classical music. It's always been a big part of my routine. And it's nicer doing these things while Jet sits next to me, drawing something or watching a movie. But yeah, sometimes there's too much free time. It's funny though, as soon as there's Regi to fight or some other conflict facing us, you immediately long for the slow times.
J: Not me. I'd rather be out there, taking out those sons of bitches.
E: Hm. We have large greenhouses in the belly of the ship where hydroponics farmers and botanists harvest our crops. For the most part, we can't just allow crew and civilians to be wandering around down there but, well, being Captain has its privileges, and I often take walks through the greenhouses and arboretum. It's quite beautiful. You can forget where you are. There's so much greenery and life. It's amazing what humans can do.
J: It is nice, I'll go with him sometimes, and there is a park where anyone can go and enjoy the trees and grass and a small lake. It's just always so crowded. Me, I prefer the target range.

E: You... saw a picture of our wedding?? How peculiar, perhaps this nebula reaches to your world too! I wish I could say married life was different than before, but, well, Jet was already living with me for the last few months in my quarters so--
J: I actually only married him so I could get that sweet bump up to Captain's quarters. Way nicer than the pilot accommodations.
E: Jet!!
J: Hahaha! Nah, I love being married to this guy, we're lucky, really lucky, especially with everything going on around us. *sigh*
E: We know it's okay to find happiness where we can, but I always try to be respectful of the rest of the ship's inhabitants who, haven't found their Latios like I have.
J: Or their Entei.
*Kiss sounds*

Hello! I've seen stuff of you guys and they all been awesome! I'd like to firstly say, congratz on your wedding! I'm so happy for you two. You two look cute together. Hehe! Anyways:
How did you two end up together? (I know there was a story, but I haven't gotten the chance to read it and I didn't see when it was posted. Sorry. ;w;)
What do you two like to do on your free time?
What do you like to do when one of you is alone? When the other is busy.
Who cooks the best between you two?
What are your plans for the near future?
Sorry for asking a lot. You two are amazing. I hope for the best for you two. Take care and stay safe!

J: What a question! Our, relationship hasn't always been easy.
E: I guess you could say that's my fault.
J: It wasn't... fine, sure, it was Ethan's fault, lol. I knew I was falling for this guy for a long time. When I started to realize maybe it was more than a fleeting crush on a commanding officer, I started to get a bit nervous. I needed to make sure it wasn't one-sided. We had already become close friends for a month or so prior and getting Ethan to talk about his past relationships or anything of that nature was nearly impossible.
E: I'm a private person!
J: And dense.
E: *sigh* I've never been lucky in love and I've been in the military life since I was eighteen years old. There wasn't really time to meet someone or explore relationships so I... I didn't. The truth was I didn't know what I wanted, and it made me uncomfortable when Jet would press me about it.
J: Well, I tried to get close to him, closer than friends you know, and he would push back and put distance between us... so I stopped trying for awhile. It was hard on both of us, but I actually think it was harder for Ethan.
E: It was. I couldn't stand losing him as a friend, and maybe was starting to finally figure out what he actually meant to me. And then the Regice incident happened.
J: It was supposed to be a routine mission to take down a Regice command ship that was threatening a Magnemite mining colony, but things went badly. My mecha got badly damaged, and I was losing air. Two of my squadmates had to drag me back to Ho-Oh after the Regice was taken down. I was in and out of consciousness, had shrapnel from damage to my ship embedded in my side... I was a bloody mess.
E: When they pulled him out of his mecha onto the hangar floor, I felt like someone had knocked the wind out of me. His face was so pale, and, and... (his voice trails off)
J: Ethan carried me on a stretcher to the infirmary. He ran me there as I passed out. I awoke hours later, after the surgery and I was stabilized. Ethan was standing over me, his eyes were full of tears. Apparently the medical staff had tried to get him to leave and he wouldn't. He had just stubbornly stayed with me for nine hours. lol!
E: There was no way I could have been anywhere else.
J: Well, he told me everything at that point, everything he had been feeling, everything he had wanted to say to me but didn't know how. I couldn't believe it, to be honest, I didn't see it coming.
E: I wanted to hug, and kiss him so badly but I didn't want to hurt him!
J: Haha, well we did anyway, as softly as we could. Kind of frustrating that it literally took me almost dying for him to tell me how he felt!
E: Better late than never, Jet.
J: Yeah.
E: I guess you could say that's my fault.

J: Yeah.
E: Hm, I think we talked about our hobbies a bit already, I really like to read, Jet enjoys drawing, the blasting range, we both enjoy training at the gym.
J: As far as cooking, I don't really know! We have cooks in the crew cafeteria and we don't really have an option to go into the kitchen to try cooking ourselves.
E: I used to cook with my mom sometimes when I was a boy, I quite enjoyed it. I think I would try to get back to it when the war is over.
J: That sounds great! I would love to try your cooking one day! Assuming you're any good of course.
E: You'll eat whatever I make, mister!
J: Haha! Near future, man, I don't know. We really only get to live one day at a time out here. We never know if we'll be attacked or what problems might arise on the cruiser...
E: Long term, the goal is still to find an inhabitable planet and get our civilian crew building and starting a new life for themselves, a new society. I would very much like to be a part of that myself.
J: Yeah, maybe that would be nice, who knows? Ho-Oh is home to me and it's better than where I used to be, so maybe I'm not as eager to leave. Actually, I guess that's changed recently. Home is wherever this big Entei is, so that's where I'll go too. The short term is to just enjoy this while we can.

You guys are clearly deeply committed to each other (respect) and must bring quite some relief and full goodness that regardless of backgrounds, race or gender that anyone can find happiness.
So my questions to both of you may seem personal but I feel I can ask you guys with easy understanding.
Whist both of you are truly happy, have either of you encountered any difficulties in your relationship?(and I'm not talking about who doesn't clean up after themselves or snores at night) but have you had difficulties with any of the crew members or any others whom do not value your love as eagerly as a male/female relationship?
Also (and this is the biggest question I feel nervous asking), what form of advice would you offer to someone who is having doubts or concerns on finding that special someone and how to overcome the horrific nature of loneliness?
Sorry if my questions seem very personal than the ones you've been currently answering, but I feel like I can ask both of you these questions and hopefully receive some good wisdom.

E: You're right to wonder about that. It's not always easy, and in fact there was a small faction aboard Ho-Oh who wanted to remove Jet and myself from our positions simply because we got married. It's... frustrating that there is still a stigma around two men, or two women in a relationship that threatens others. I was more worried about this than Jet, and sadly, maybe it was a little of my own security that kept me from being more open with him earlier.
J: Well, it seems like with every passing year, it becomes less of an issue. I bet in another decade or so people won't even give a shit who I sleep with, and until then, I'm not going to be anyone but who I am. And as far as that group that wanted us to resign, believe me the rest of the ship shut them down.
E: There was such an outpouring of support from our friends, and most of the crew and even the civilian population who could see how much good we have done for everyone aboard the ship... I was personally very moved. It was supposed to be a very small wedding, I just wanted to be quietly married, but Jet wanted everyone there, so that's what we did. He was right of course.
J: I've told you, baby, I'm usually, maybe not always but usually gonna be right about things.
E: ...
J: Man, loneliness is... rough. I think we're both lucky enough to be surrounded by people all the time. Often the issue is getting to be alone in the first place! Just talk to people I guess?
E: Jet's not really the type of man to be lonely I think. He's extroverted, funny, handsome... I think I understand where you're coming from though. I've tried to keep a wall up for years, keeping folks at a distance. It's only been recently when I've let my guard down. I'm 45 years old and I had given up on ever finding someone years ago. Life is a funny thing sometimes. I know I was very lucky, we both were, to find each other. I don't know what advice I can offer beyond getting to know people around you. Be kind and compassionate.
J: I know Ethan disagrees, but I don't think there's only one person for everyone either. I've had a decent amount of boyfriends over the years, and I had a good time with all of them, learned things about myself...
E: ...
J: Well I didn't marry any of them, or want to! Don't give me that look!

Reinhardt (German Accent): Hello. I have received your Transmission. My name is Reinhardt Wilhelm and I'm a Mightyena Arwing Pilot. I'd like to say I saw a picture of your wedding and it was beautiful. I also have a few questions.
Are there any Mightyena on the cruiser?
What does one normally do for fun on the cruiser?
How is life aboard the cruiser? What do you two do for fun or when off duty?
And finally, as a crossbreed between a Lucario and a Mightyena and having attained my mother's appearance and father's aura powers... what use would I be aboard the cruiser if I joined?
Thank you for answering my questions.

E: Well hello Mr. Wilhelm! Are you from Arceon or another planet? Hm, if you do not know much about the Ho-Oh, I suspect you must be from an off-world colony, or do you live on the human world? Anyway, I suppose I have questions of my own! I believe we do have at least one Mightyena aboard, a young lady civilian I saw at the park awhile back. Sadly I don't always get to meet everyone aboard.
J: Due to the nature of the cruiser's original mission, there's plenty to do aboard, and there are enough folks also coming up with ways to pass the time. Boredom can be a real killer, so everyone works together to come up with new leisure activities. The more popular ones are the VR suites, booths where an array of programs can be experienced, personally or with a group. Lots of stuff, and a good way to escape the feel of ship life. Stuff that's family-friendly all the way to, well, really adult stuff. We have a movie theatre, shopping district, gyms, pools, a large park, and about once a month there's a group of players who put on various music and plays in the park for interested parties. What else?
E: Of course we have a few bars, nice restaurants beyond the cafeterias, and areas for organized sports. I'm actually a bit of a boxer myself!
J: Life isn't bad, all considered, in fact I like it. I grew up poor and it was only by my foster family scraping together money and me busting my ass in school that got me into the pilot program. My point is, I'm happiest aboard the Ho-Oh than I've ever been. I do miss my family though.
E: Interesting parentage! I've known a few Lucario and they have always been strong, upright characters. As I said before I'm afraid I don't have the pleasure of knowing any Mightyena closely. You're the first I've really spoken with! As for a place on the cruiser... I would need to know your skillsets, technical? Medical? Science background? We have hundreds of professionals aboard who do everything from maintain the Ho-Oh's engines, to harvesting food, to janitors, to mecha pilots. Beyond that, there are many who passed our background checks and are merely civilian guests with skills that will help us start a new society, planetside one day.
J: The background check sounds intimidating, but really it's trying to weed out those who don't do well in an isolated place like the cruiser, or have obvious violent tendencies that could cause personnel issues. Ho-Oh is home to all sorts of people, I'm sure if you were brought aboard we could find some fit for you.

R: In response to your queries, I live on a planet where humans, animals, and pokemon co-exist peacefully... well for the most part. You can ask me whatever you want! As for my skillsets, I am a pretty good pilot of my Arwing fighter along with forming aura constructs in case things get dicey... such as my Aura Sword. Also, like Lucario... I can form an Aura Sphere. My Arwing can transform into a mecha itself. I am also a halfway decent cook. Despite having my own chef, I prefer cooking my own meals. Speaking of Arwings, have you seen one before or even heard of them?
Despite me being a Dark type, I am generally very friendly... but can get nasty if I am pushed too far. And don't let the cane in my picture fool you. I mainly use it for formal affairs... and I keep a sword in it too when I am tapped out on my Aura. I'm pretty scrappy!
I'm thinking of checking it out, but of course I would need clearance. I also have a few more questions. I hope you don't mind. As a gentleman, I like fancy affairs but also do not mind getting down and dirty in missions. Are there formal affairs on the ship? Also, there was a crossed wire and I saw a response in that I saw stuff about kink and that we are actually in a human game in some other universe. In response to the kink thing, I am big on it and I think Latios' look better with facial fur... but that's just me. As for the human game, Rare Candies are like Steroids. We have them on my planet. They are illegal here.
Anyway, you can ask me whatever you want! I don't bite... despite being a Dark Type. Oh! Speaking of Dark... are there any Houndoom or Darkrai on the ship?

J: Hm, never heard of an Arwing, but it sounds a lot like what I have! I'd love to see what kind of pilot you really are sometime! We're always looking for talented pilots aboard the Ho-Oh, though the reason isn't exactly, inspiring. It's the most dangerous job, since we're the ones out there fighting the Regi, protecting the cruiser. We do our best not to lose anyone, but sometimes it cant be helped, I'm ashamed to say.
E: No one is respected more than our Squadron pilots. Everyone knows how vital they are not only to our safety, but the survival of our kind.
J: Thanks, Ethan.
E: I'm only stating a fact. Um, as far as formal affairs, we have a handful of fancy clubs and restaurants. I wouldn't describe the average ship denizen as a gentleman though. I suspect you might stick out a bit.
J: Rare candies are like steroids?? Well, I need to amend my comment then, I mean, I wouldn't mess around with steroids. And thanks! I kinda like growing a beard too! I know Ethan prefers it trimmed way down though.
E: I like how you look no matter what!
J: Oh yeah, I was thinking about growing my beard out as far as I can! Let it get all scraggly and wiry, sound good?
E: No. You look more handsome with a shorter beard.
J: Lol, well, I guess you have to look at me the most, so I'll keep it to what you like best.
E: Thank you.
J: Oh right, your last question, uh, this isn't meant to sound insensitive but, Houndoom aren't necessarily the best shipmates. I mean, They're know to be... shifty.
E: Have you ever even met a Houndoom?
J: I dated one in high school.
E: I didn't know that.
J: Well, he was great in the sack, but not a great person. Alright, fine, I had one not-great experience with a Houndoom, maybe it was just him. I haven't seen any Houndoom aboard the cruiser.
E: Were there, very many men before me?
J: ...Noooooooooooooo, not 'very' many. Some.
E: I, see. As for Darkrai, I believe they are a myth. They are said to be something of a bogeyman that kidnaps naughty children from their homes. I've never seen one, but we said similar things about Mismagius, and we have a pair of them now living onboard! A fine couple!

R: An Arwing is a personal super-high performance combat spacecraft. Arwings are equipped with the G-Diffuser system, an anti-gravity device which allows the pilot to accelerate or decelerate instantaneously and perform a wide variety of high performance combat maneuvers. By executing an aileron roll, the Arwing can also generate a electromagnetic shield which will deflect most optically based weapons, such as laser beams. My Arwing can also touch down on the ground and transform into the Walker which is basically it's mecha form. This allows pilots to explore sections that would be too small for the Arwing in Flight Mode or require slowed down exploration. That isn't to say the Walker is bad at combat as it has the same firing capabilities as Flight Mode but with reduced range. The Walker is mainly for melee, or at least mine is.
As for standing out, I already do that. In my pilot's uniform is black and red with shoulderpads and a scouter that allows me to contact any commanding officer or my team in addition to it serving as a small computer with data on the current mission. My Arwing follows my uniform's colors.
As for Houndoom being shifty, I have seen a few instances of that here as well.
It was amazing talking to you two. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! Here is my Transmission Code. 45-3892-B

J: Well, I first knew about Ethan Emberheart years before I even stepped foot on the Ho-Oh. He was one of a handful of potential folks being considered as ship's captain in those days. It was a huge deal, he was all over the news. He was basically a celebrity.
E: I never thought of it that way.
J: Well, regardless, you were. He came and visited the base where I was going through pilot's training at the time, and my lieutenant introduced me as his most promising recruit. Do you remember that?
E: I met a lot of military personnel back then, every day.
J: Oh, well damn.
E: I'm joking! Of course I remember you! You looked so handsome in your flight suit, and even with your handshake you were so cocky, like you were testing me.
J: Heh, and I've never stopped testing you since, eh?
E: Oh, I'd say you've calmed down in the last couple years.
J: Maybe a little. Anyway, once we were both assigned to the Cosmic Cruiser, we saw each other pretty frequently. He'd often come down to the hangar to survey the pilots and touch base with his Squadron Commanders. It was out of line, but I crushed on him pretty fast. Something about his demeanor, that build, and of course the moustache. Damn.
E: *Ahem* I noticed him too of course, though I admit I didn't 'crush on him' for awhile after. I was too focused on too many other things.
J: As for our first date, that was after I fully recovered from my injuries sustained by a Regice ambush. Actually, I don't know if I'd even say date. He brought me back to his quarters, which raised some eyebrows and took care of me, like my personal nurse until I was cleared for active duty again. He'd bring me food, watch movies next to me in bed, help me around the station... It was, really nice. I wouldn't have guessed he had such a sweet side to him.
E: Well, that wasn't our first date, that was just me looking after... someone I cared deeply about. Our first date was actually aboard the Eevee science station, remember?
J: Ah yes, you're right, definitely the 'official' first date.
E: I took him to the finest restaurant aboard their station, honestly their food is incredible, and after that we went to their observatory and watched the stars go by for hours. We talked, about new things, and us, where we might go from there. I've never spoken to anyone like that before.
J: It was a perfect night. Heh, yeah.
E: I never thought of it that way.

E: It was very nice! It started out sort of rushed. After I asked Jet to marry me, he didn't want to wait, he wanted us hitched as soon as possible.
J: Well, I mean, you never know what's going to happen from one day to the next. When you want something, what's the use in waiting, right?
E: Well, we had the wedding in one of the Ho-Oh's multipurpose rooms two weeks later. Jet insisted on having all of our closest friends there, and the reason he even waited two weeks is because his sister, Aria, had to be there and it took that long for a shuttle to reach us. It was also the first time I got to meet her in person after hearing so much about her.
J: She had to be there, that's all there was to it. I wanted my foster folks to be there too but they were back on Arceon, which was too far away.
E: I don't have any close relatives left, so that wasn't a concern of mine.
J: Ethan thought we would just dress in our uniforms, but, for us that's kind of everyday dress, well, for him especially. I'm usually in a flight suit. I didn't want a military wedding, I wanted it to be like how people get married back on Arceon, surrounded by loved ones, people happy for us, ya know?
E: My dearest friend and second-in-command, Grady, a Gogoat, officiated the wedding and did a wonderful job.
J: Yeah, everything was really nice actually. They even made us a special cake and surprised us with it at the end. It was a great day. Well, we got kind of pressured into some dancing later on, and neither of us is very good at it, so that was a little uncomfortable.
E: I liked your head on my shoulder...
J: ... I liked that part of it too.

E: I don't, really understand? A tournament? A candy tournament?
J: It's probably a human game, remember that other person asked about a game? They said you were a legendary dog/cat beast or whatever, remember? Hahahaha!!
E: Humph. Well we don't have this game here, so I don't know what to say.
J: I say let them have all the candy they want! Why is it rare though? Sounds like really good candy to me! I would try some!

"Ahhh, I see...I see." *scribbles notes on notepad* "Well I think you two are perfect candidates to my groups program! I am a member of Vault-Tec and we want to prepare the good people...GAH!!!"
*Is suddenly shoulder-checked by a big brown grizzly anthro wearing a green shirt and grey shorts and the reporter runs away before poofing into a puff of smoke*
"Hello, sirs! My name is Benjamin! Sorry about that guy, he has been a pain for some people lately. Anywhos! I was wondering...if you could command ANY Power Ranger team, what would your team consist of in terms of members AND motifs?"

J: Hi Benjamin! Power... ranger team? This must be another human concept. I can take a guess? I would want a team that works the best together, like my own squadron. Everyone needs to be in sync in battle, and look to their commander for guidance. That being said, when they have to make their own decisions, they should be able to get a grasp on the situation quickly and respond accordingly. For the motif, dragons would be cool!
J: Yes I do!
E: ...
J: Well, I was saying that they're not very well-developed, and, well, I don't know the extent of them, but sometimes I'll have visions about the future, and I know I have to do something to change it. It's more a feeling than anything I can fully explain. Once, I've actually seen myself, and another time I saw Ethan but like, somehow different versions of ourselves. I think it was like a parallel universe or something, Ethan thinks I was probably drunk... This doesn't happen very often, but it seems to be occurring with more frequency lately. I hope it's not a bad omen?
E: I wouldn't worry about it, Jet.
J: Because you don't believe me.
E: I know you believe it, I just don't want you worrying about things you can't change, like the future for example.
J: Whatever, anyway, I can't control these visions and I don't have any offensive psychic capabilities. I wish I did! I think it does give me an edge when I'm in my mecha though! Like, innate glimpses of the future helping me dodge attacks and stuff!
E: You're getting carried away. You're just a damn good pilot.
J: I won't deny that! Oh, and in regards to language, there was a time, before we as a global society became connected that Arceon was divided by countries and many of them with their own languages. As we started to connect in-person, online, through beliefs, and ultimately with our want to explore into the stars that we started to all learn Kantonese. It is our largest continent, with the densest population center, so the language was adopted by the vast majority of the world. This was decades ago now.
E: I grew up speaking a few different languages, and it was nice when Kantonese became globally adopted. There are still accents of course, but it makes communication much easier. Off-world colonies like Carbink, Bronzong, Deoxys and the Regi all have their own languages that are nearly impossible to decipher.

J: It uh, wasn't great, I mean, it would've been but Ethan sort of freaked out and kicked me out of his room.
E: That's an oversimplification! There was a lot going through my mind, we were both... fairly inebriated. I thought I had crossed a line, and didn't want to lose my friend.
J: You should have told me that at the time. I had wanted to kiss you for so long.
E: Well yes, of course I know that now!
