When Zane reached into the treasure box, he pulled out a relatively simple red jewel. Bracing himself, he prepared to hear the voice of the gem. Sure enough, it came to him.
What he DIDN'T expect is what the voice would say: "7,000 points."
Before he knew it, he was looking all around him at a clear bubble. It appeared to be transporting him somewhere! But as for where, he had no idea.
After what seemed like several minutes, the bubble came to a stop above a pastel-colored girder in a dark passage. The bubble popped, sending him tumbling to the ground with a splat. Groaning, Zane stood up... an action that seemed complicated by is new, relatively stubby limbs. But he also had less distance to travel vertically, so it all balanced out.
Catching his balance and adjusting to his new form, he looked around to see various sweet treats on the ground. Well... he WAS starting to get hungry, and you can't say no to extra points!

...Would you believe that as a fan and student of the great
stormdragonblue I've literally only drawn ONE OTHER BUBBLE DRAGON!? That will simply not do at ALL.
The second I realized this glaring omission, I knew what the next one of these HAD to be.
Lots more background details and shading on this one. My way of looking at these is the simpler the base drawing is, the more intricate the rest of it needs to be. I like to give everyone their money's worth, even if I choose a relatively simple form.
But yeah. I'm SUPER happy with this one. I need to draw these little buggers more.
...For that matter, I'm not adverse to giving MYSELF a bubble dragon form sometime. <3

Just a big fan of stormdragonblue as well and I miss arcades and puzzle bobble. All the arcades that carry it around me are closed *sigh*.
