Well I haven't drawn one of my 'Render Swords' in a long time and felt i needed to break the rut but used the more recent style i've been using instead of my older design. I felt like using a Tanto point since I used a curved point way too often. If the sword was real and could be held it would probably be a 2 or hand and a half sword or if the blade length was shortened it would suffice as a one hander. I had an urge to give it a serated back edge but decided not to because I just didn't feel up to trying to make it look 'too badass.' From tip to tip i'd say its about.... six to seven (if not eight) feet long.
It may still be a bit unwieldly looking but all in all to me its a very nice looking sword and i hope to make a functional version (or one just to show off) one day just need to find the right stuff to put it together. All i know is when i do make it it'll be HEAVY the thickness has to be close to half (or a little under half) an inch the handle wouldneed to be bolted on and making the handle so it would bolt on the way i see it would take some time and effort. All and all it'll be some hard work but it'll be worth it if/when i ever get it done or ever find the materials and time to start. XD

Ok. Ah DA, i have a large amount of sword designs there just don't use it anymore, since they've updated i can't upload images or even check my messages. I wonder if i'm the only one that has issues with DA.

The handle should be sturdy. Its bolted into the rest of the sword. Only reason i want to make my own sword is because I really don't have 300$ or more to pay for a good sword. So i could find some good steel and make my own from there. But I am not all that good with a cutting torch so the cut wouldn't be very clean. I should have practiced more in shop class.
ah irony, I'm currently in an engineering apprenticeship which will eventually include some oxy-cutting, but I'd still prefer to buy my blade. after all, those japanese swordsmiths know what they're doing better than I ever will on that front, and I think I could scrape together the money for a decent sword, the only problem is getting it through australian customs...
