"I'm not so sure you have it in you to be a truly great sorceress, darling," said Magica, almost consolingly, "but I do have need for someone to be taking care of new pets. So, I will take you on as a servant. You may study magic on own time. Who knows? Maybe you will be good at it. Maybe even learn secret of turning your family back to normal, eh? Eh heh heh heh heh!"
Faced with no other choice, Webby agreed to this, taking on the role of Magica's servant. Magica worked her pretty hard, but Webby worked just as hard, so even the evil sorceress couldn't find enough chores for her to do to keep her servant occupied all the time. Webby started to learn magic, hoping she could find a way to undo the mess Magica had caused . . .

OH. MY. GOD! Nine hours of work (est.), my clicking finger is extremely sore, but it's done. And it's the best thing I've produced so far. My fist attempt at a background (wasn't actually sure I was going to try until I did it). And these characters are all super complex and heavily edited from the sources. Basically, all the pigs are from the Circe episode of DuckTales, though I changed their clothes and some of their expressions to fit them in. Bunny Scrooge is actually Thumper with some clothes on and a slight color adjustment. Webby is based on a sprite from the game, with some minor editing here and there, but her dress is actually Maple's from LoZ. Holly shit, this was a lot of work. But I'll be damned if it didn't pay off. Also, the thing is almost the perfect size for a desktop wallpaper, so if anybody wants to download it and use it for that purpose, feel free. Don't know if anyone would want to, but you can.

Yar, I liked it. It's the end I've had in mind since I did the second piece. It's got a nice fairy-tale tune to it. Young girl, slave to an evil sorceress who has put a curse on her family, working hard trying to find a way to undo the curse. That's the premise of several fairy tales across the globe.
Plus, I could totally see this as a kind of darker spin-off to the original series. Magica rules the world by this point because nobody could stop her from stealing Scrooge's #1 dime. So, there'd be plenty of little adventures for Webby to have when she goes out to do whatever chores Magica sends her on. Plus, the idea of Webby, who tended to be an overlooked character in the show, becoming a sorceress herself and being the last hope for the whole world is interesting to me.
