Extra skins & guns & other vanity trinkets don't bug me, Extra missions/quests certainly can tread the line :(
The good news is that for MD, all pre-order exclusive content is now free for everybody! So no dilemma left about that.
As for the reception, I can certainly attest that it feels like it was set up to be the first in a trilogy or something as opposed to the full story arc that Human Revolution was. Other criticisms are...eh, more subjective. I certainly thoroughly enjoyed my time. If you enjoy exploration and good environment design, it's really hard not to like MD.
