Gideon Lang, Lycanthrope and High Steward of the city of Lerone, has many interests. He trains with the local militia, he oversees trade disputes and incoming shipments of goods from across the great Sea of Lerone, and he tours the farmlands to make sure his people are doing well and the crops are coming in nicely. But his first true love, the one he returns to with no hesitation, is fishing. All other interests are either of import to the city or to the industries tied to his community, but fishing is all for him.

On a nice day he can frequently be found either on a raft just off-shore, or sitting on a dock pylon with his fishing pole and a bucket of bait. Oft times he also has a club, should Old Snaggletooth try to steal his catch. He has something of a long-standing rivalry with the elderly Sea Serpent that dwells near the docks, though it's more of a friendly rivalry than true animosity. But the bigger the fish, the bigger the fight, and some days Gideon just can't win out over the needle-toothed beast.

Oh well. Sometimes you catch the fish, sometimes the fish gets away, and sometimes it gets snatched by a bigger, toothier beast. One of the dangers of indulging in your hobby when you live on the Sea of Lerone: Sea Serpents. You get used to it!
