Thanks again for doing this, I love how they came out.
In case anyone is curious, the wolf and jaguar are from my comic, Project Future. The wolf was a more recent creation and doesn't show up much. The jaguars show up fairly regularly as background characters.
In-universe, the jaguars were originally designed as guard robots for military bases, but were taken to the world of Furrae by a third party. Since then they have been reverse-engineered by Jayhawk Cybernetics and copies have been produced in that world too, with the AI system being taken and adapted for other purposes, e.g. android bodies to house the souls of the dying or recently-deceased.
By default the jaguars are fairly dim but acts of heroism or similar in the line of duty can be rewarded with intelligence upgrades. R-MAC has been fully upgraded by Jayhawk as a test to make sure they understood their stolen technology, and is now human-smart.
The wolf is purely designed by Jayhawk, though again using the same basic technology. Unlike the jaguars which are mostly about brute force, the wolves are more stealth-oriented. R-ALF has a cloaking system that can render him largely invisible through photon tunnelling (if he was completely invisible, he couldn't see). The fusion plant can't power both the cloak and his locomotion systems at once, so jumping or running when cloaked may cause brown-outs resulting in him stumbling or becoming visible, depending on how the system is configured.
Owing to legal hurdles regarding the creation of new life, Jayhawk Cybernetics have not been able to get the wolf series approved for production yet and they are still undergoing evaluation. The wolves are all human-smart. The jaguars have been given limited approval and are supplied to third parties.

Thanks, but I can only claim partial credit. The cyberjags were originally from an RPG game project I had years ago, but never finished. About ten years ago I started writing fan-fics based on the DMFA webcomic, and kind of bolted the two together. So the anthro characters like Daryil, Sheila and Syd are original characters based on someone else's world, though all the robotic stuff is my doing.
