Has anyone else? I've talked to some of their other friends hoping any of us have heard from them, but no luck, even with email just to see if they're okay. I liked their whole group and they were a big inspiration to me growing up, and I've been really happy getting to talk with Wulf Ellis more lately too. But it all kinda stopped as soon as Gene passed away.
I actually had a dream about it last night, and dreamed Shirlee was using Twitter, but not addressing anything about how anyone was doing or the event. She mentioned her art would continue but it would look different.
I love this group a lot - and I was always a bit curious if maybe one person roleplayed any of the other people involved - but with 6 people, that's a lot of work! Different art styles and all the communication between them, commenting on each other's art. As possible as it is, it sure would be a lot of work! I figured, at least maybe Shirlee or Katellis roleplayed their parents if anything (and I'm so sorry to be guessing around like that) but I wouldn't imagine Gene was roleplaying a whole group?
I'm sure I'm wrong! But, seeing how it's been over a month and no one's come up to even say they're okay, I would think at least 1 in a group of 5 might. :x
If anyone else hears anything about these folks, please let me know!

Sorry to hear that. I was recently gonna post something similar to this. I had a friend who for a long time was very depressed then one day she unfriended me and my friends on Steam claiming nobody wants to be friends with her. That was over a year ago and since then she hasn't said anything on any of the platforms I know she's on. I hope she's okay but she probably isn't. Either way I really miss her.
Having used to be involved in the Kit n Kay forum years & years back.. I'm pretty convinced Kat and Shirlee are real folks.. or are at least *not* gene.
But yeah, I'm really concerned about the whole group too, I've sorta been silently keeping track since I stopped interacting with them (I felt it was inappropriate cuz I was young.. but recently realized shirlee's my age..), and it's really worrisome to me that no one has given an update, although I am sure the grieving is overwhelming. I'm not interested in finding out "the truth" about what happened, I just really hope the group is OK.
I would think if anyone had communication with the rest of the group it would be Vinci, cuz they knew them all well, but I wouldn't ever want to bug them for that type of personal, sensitive information.

After hearing some comments on this post on InkBunny, I saw there are multiple artist accounts out there with the same art style, so it looks at least like Kat has a number of accounts. While his art and Kat's have different styles, they're close enough for me to think they could just be the same person.
I don't want to be too nosy or bother others either. Gotta be respectful when people pass away. One thing I did hear was Gene has multiple computers, which could make it easier for him to roleplay multiple people, but I'm with you where I thought at least Shirlee was someone else. Her art style is the most different from the group.
I would just kind of hope eventually Kat or someone of the 5 pop up and say they're okay.

I am definitely noticing more similarities in the art techniques of the group, now that you mention it. Like, more technically than stylistically. Seems pretty weird, but could be friends influencing each other's styles over the years.. I'm not sure what to think, It's pretty devastating to think that the whole 3c1m team could be gone.. I don't feel "had" as much as I feel extra sad about it.
I'm feeling really compelled to reach out to an old friend of the group, just to see if they're OK. I feel really concerned for them, though we didn't end on good terms.

I think Stefanescu, Waterbucket, and Liquidcrystaldelay were all just like Kat's art style without really trying to disguise it. I just imagine if he were all them, and disappeared at the same time, it's all looking more likely.
Death is one of those things where it might be okay to check in with others, but it's all up to you. It'd be nice if we could just hear it from himself!

What?! Oh, no... I've been friends with Kat for years, and I can tell you right now that he and the others most definitely weren't the same person. Having spoken with him and Gene and Shirless and CW separately over the years, I can say this with certainty because they all have a very distinct style of writing. The same can be said about the papa wolf, too. But if it's true, and really more than one of them has passed away... I can't really even begin to wrap my head around it... I'm praying that it's not the case. It just can't be...
