Its always good to make a text first. Practice with the material your working with, it can range from craft supply's or clay all the way to wood. For wand i like to stay close to the lor so wood.
Use rough dimensions & angels from Step 2. Sketch them on the one layer at a time. Think 3d. Top most the bottom most, and carve them in the order.
