woah, I finally finished this! I've been working on it, on and off for the last week or so while I've had the time. I'm actually REALLY happy with how it came out! I really wanted to dive hardcore into more colour/lighting experimentation and this is what I came up with ;D I've wanted to do a picture of Hush playing the piano for ages as well!

ps- yes the piano was painted - took me hourssss alone! I spent like days on this, and I know the issue with the keys which I'll fix at some point - take it easy on the crit for me :B

but I fully didn't - The only part I even used a reference for was the keys, to get a good idea of the angle and distance etc that I wanted. The rest was just off the top of my head!

Steinways are like, the best pianos out there. Second to Bösendorfer.... They turn your soul into butter, than CRY on it... It's so amazing. I've played them both, and ya... oh man.,

I wanted to do something similar but I'm certain it would not have come out as well :P
But there are somethings wrong (actually, nothing important, but you can improve this next time): The "C" key on the first plan is at the right of the "C sharped". It should be on the left. Same for "B" key: it's a full key (the full key is supposed to be the most high "C"). It make all black keys on the left put ON the white. There are supposed to be between two of them...
But I haggle; it's easy to criticize, and I would be unable to make the sixth of what you have make there!

Try a Schimmel, they've a perfect sound in the grave, way warmer than the Steinways. They're closer to the Bosendorfer.

You know, I actually didn't notice the issue with the keys until I read your comment about it. Negligible I'd say; it's not distracting from the image as a whole. I suppose you could fix it if you so desire, but I think it's fine the way it is. It proves you're still human and creates a closer connection between artist and audience.
If I could favourite this so much more I would, this piece was made even more beautiful by the track I was listening to.
