My friend bought me Hollow Knight the other day and omg??? Why hadn't I heard of this game before?!?
It's an absolutely beautiful game the art style is so good
and the music is absolutely fantastic!
not to mention THERE'S BUGS!
ahhh I'm so glad they opened my eyes to this cause it's such a lovely game I haven't even beat it yet (not for lack of trying but omg input lag is hell when it comes to platformers :'v ) but I'm so excited to play more and learn more about this world and it's characters!

I haven't played too far into the game yet so I don't even know much about the storyline
You're kinda just dropped in with no explanation and you sorta go around and figure stuff out yourself
As for the species they're heavily stylized but you can get the basic idea of what insects they were themed after
so far I've noticed mosquitoes, caterpillars, bees, spiders, pill bugs, beetles, and mantids to name a few
there's also different variations between each species so there's enough variety to keep the game interesting
