According to the Greek mythology, Daphne was a nymph, daugther of the river Peneus, chased by Apollo. In order to avoid the god, Daphne prayed Peneus, and he transformed her into a laurel.

The leafy dragonfish is a small and very peculiar fish, related with seahorses, whose leafy appendages make him difficult to see within his habitat.
