Much happier with this attempt of the drawing of the prophet hehe.
Wonder if anyone here knows who Nathan Rahl is x3.

Well....
I loved just about any of them because they all were unique in this way and that haha.
I remember when I first started reading the series that I totally fell in love with Darken Rahl. He was my favorite baddie in the whole series for a very long time. I never really took any liking to Jagang, other than wanting to rip him to shreds through the whole thing, lol. But I'd assume this is everyone's thought at some point. I hated Ann to the very end, to be honest. I wanted to slap her on more than a single occasion but I suppose that became not necessary seeing as what happened to her. I felt quite a bit sad for her at the very end, i'll admit. Verna was never my favorite but I came to like her. I saw her in a very different light with Waren - who is one of my very favorite characters. And again my heart was shattered at what happened to him. I love Waren so much and I really do miss him being around the lil family.
Zedd, I think there isn't a single person who read the books who doesn't like him. He's a precious old man <3. Richard is just a stubborn ox. I do love him as well though haha. But that's obvious. Everyone likes him. He's a natural.
Nicci is an odd one. I was really happy with her entire character story. It was like reading a book within a book, centered around her. I'm happy she didn't die in the process even though there were SO MANY moments I thought "this is it ... We're gonna lose her". I just hope she as well will find a worthy partner. And between you and me? I think Nathan and Nicci may end up working that out ^ haha. Seeing as they are going to get their own little chronicle. But I can only hope. Lord knows the two of them deserve some happiness.
The mord-sith are a whole different story. I have an undying adoration for all of them. Cara, Berdin, Danna, Rica... all of them. They are all so unique and they all make me smile! Especially when they discover a bit of something worth living for, other than their undying devotion to the lord Rahl that is LOL. I am quite sad for Berdin though. Despite her looking to be quite alright and always helping Richard translate all of these books, I can't help but wonder if she misses her mate. She probably does. But doesn't show it at all. mmm
I love them all :3.

ZEDD. I don't know why his wasn't the first name on my mind. Ann drove me a bit insane, as did Vera and just about all of the Sisters. Darken was a joy to read about. Jagang, at least to me, proved that a vanilla slaving, conquering villain could still be interesting. Definitely agree on the mord-sith bit; they all had a splendid amount of character development!
Try the Gentleman Bastard series by Scott Lynch, Nightrunner series by Lynn Flewelling, and Thieves' World by a lot of authors. They don't take on the classic 'save the world' plotline that Goodkind and Jordan wrote about but they've got amazing characters.

So I finally finished the last chronicle of the dark lands and I'm just gonna crai. I can't believe zedd died!!! That just broke my heart. I couldn't read his name every since that moment without getting teary eyed, hoping that he will magically appear and it would all turn out to be a trick of some sort. And poor cara and benjamin. These books are cruel !
I think there was a reason to it tbh. I expected him to die in some grandiose battle or something like that as well, but the author reminds us, in a very harsh way, that all of us can fall to the smallest of things. A wizard is power and all, but even a single crossbow blt can do the job, as we often heard said through the book ehe. He was simply confronted by someone he couldn't counter, since occult powers are the balance to the gift after all ... Zedd had no chance at all.
It made me extremely sad, and it actually was a proper cold slap to the face. I suspected Irena from the very first moment but eh. Poor Zedd. I miss that old man already. No one will ever replace him /flops and dies/. I also can't wait to see Nathan and Nicci together. I bet they will have a lot of trouble gettin along XD...

Oh I totally get your point, and normally I'd totally agree. Goodkind hit home with the sudden deaths by having Waren and others die. I just think his death was a bit wasted on Irena of all people; it was a bit telegraphed and she wasn't a particularly interesting character. I'd honestly have preferred if he did take a random crossbow bolt or something along those lines.
