Back in 1915, the road in my last posting was a one lane road made from steamrolled hard-pan. When two vehicles met, they would have to slow down and pull halfway off the road to let each other by.

The road was widened to two lanes in 1928, but still remained a dirt and hard-pan road...vast improvement anyway.

In the year 1957 (I was three years of age then), the road was paved and marked, the way the road is shown in the previous posting.

As for that closest tree near the foreground in this pic, old timers said it was struck by lightning back in 1927, hence why it was not shown in my last posting.
